Grey Highlands Location

Grey Highlands is a municipality located in one of the most beautiful parts of Grey County, Ontario, Canada. It was formed on the 1st of January, 2001 by the amalgamation of the village of Markdale and the townships of Artemesia, Euphrasia, and Osprey, which included the unincorporated hamlets of Eugenia Ceylon, Maxwell, Singhampton, Priceville, Kimberley, and Feversham.

Hoggs Falls is located just outside of Flesherton and it has washrooms, a picnic area, trail access, and parking. There’s also Lake Eugenia which offers amazing fishing, boating, and swimming opportunities. The lake has a mix of cottages and natural forests. The area around the lake is part of the Niagara Escarpment and it’s known for its picturesque views that are available all year round.

Transportation in Grey Highlands

Grey Highlands has partnered with Commute Ontario to give the residents options for commuting and reducing emissions in Ontario by using a sustainable travel mode each trip in order to contribute to a healthier environment. The city also has a bus service called Grey Transit Route (GTR) which consists of 30 bus stops on four routes: Highway 10 between Owen Sound and Orangeville; Highway 26 between Owen Sound and TBM; Highway 6 between Owen Sound and Wiarton and Grey Road 4 between Flesherton and Walkerton.
