Departments and Divisions

The University of York International Pathway College offers courses for international students who aim to study at an undergraduate or a postgraduate level at the University of York but haven’t met the standard entry requirements. 

Undergraduate Level

Students who finished high school but haven’t met the entry requirements for university can study for a Foundation Certificate which will help them gain entry to an undergraduate degree. Foundation Certificate courses offer progression to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at the University of York. 

Undergraduate level courses are offered in many subject areas: Business and Finance; Humanities, Creative Arts and Media; Law and Social Sciences; Life Science, Biomedicine and Environment; Mathematics, Economics and Actuarial Science; Physics, Mathematics, Computing and Engineering. 

Postgraduate Level (Pre-Master’s)

Students who hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s will help them gain a place on a postgraduate degree. Postgraduate level courses are offered in a range of subjects: Business with Law; Education, Media and Social Sciences; Management and Quantitative Skills; Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
