Departments and Divisions

The University of Strathclyde International Study Centre offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The undergraduate programmes are Undergraduate Foundation Programme, International Year One BBA, and International Year Two Civil Engineering, while postgraduate programmes are Pre-Masters Programme, Accelerated Pre-Masters Programme, and  Online Accelerated Pre-Masters Programme. There are two routes when it comes to the Undergraduate Foundation Programme: Business and Social Sciences and Engineering and Sciences. As for International Year One BBA, the subjects offered include Academic English Skills, Accounting and Finance, Global Business in Context…etc. International Year Two Civil Engineering teaches subjects which include Hydraulics, Chemistry and Material Science, and Structural Mechanics and Materials. Regular, accelerated, and Pre-Masters programmes include subjects like Academic English Skills, Advanced Computer Science, and Mathematics for Business.  

Facilities and Resources

Since the University of Strathclyde International Study Centre is located on the University’s campus, students at the Study Centre have access to the University’s facilities. The facilities and services include a students’ union, a games area, clubs and societies, a bar and bistro for refreshments, a coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating, multipurpose staging, a sports building, IT facilities and support, and the Andersonian library.

The university offers five halls of residence for students in near proximity to the study centre. The halls of residence are St Mungo's, Merchant Studios, Buchanan View, Dobbie's Point, and Gibson Street. The room types offered include studios, ensuites, one-bedroom apartments. The rooms feature single/double beds, under bed storage, wardrobes, personal study spaces with desks and chairs, and mirrors. The residences’ facilities and services include Wi-Fi, contents insurance, bike storage, on-site staff 24/7, personal possessions insurance, on-site laundry facilities, and an exciting social calendar.
