About Oak Brook Park
Birmingham is a well-known English city with a long and illustrious history dating back to the Stone Age. Its name is derived from the Old English word "Beormingahm," which means "home of the Beormingas" and refers to a pre-Anglo-Saxon tribe that once resided there.
Oak Brook Park is a student housing in Birmingham that offers en-suites. They come in three styles: classic en-suites, premium range 1 en-suite, and premium range 2 en-suite. All rooms feature a double bed, an ensuite bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen, a desk and a chair, a bedside table, a wardrobe, and under bed storage.
The residence offers many amenities and services. The amenities include Wi-Fi, MyUnite app, secure access, CCTV, contents insurance, an on-site service team, 24/7 assistance, a fire system, and a vending machine. Other services include laundry, car parking on site (with extra charge), bike storage, a cinema room, a common area, and a communal study space.
The residence has a perfect location at Grange Road, just a short drive from Birmingham city centre. It is in the heart of life, energy, nightlife, food, and drink. It is surrounded by many exciting locations which include eatery spots, entertainment venues, and other places of interest. If you’re craving some delicious BBQ, Dream Grill House and Cafe is two minutes away and it offers tasty grilled food plus drinks in a lively atmosphere. Cafe 55 is another nearby diner serving Pan-Asian dishes including noodles and rice bowls plus sweet cakes in a simple setting. If you wish to grab a quick bite, Subway eatery is just a two-minute walk and it offers a variety of sandwiches and salads. When you need to do some grocery shopping, Tesco Express supermarket is a few minutes away from the building and it has plenty of products at great prices to cater to your needs. A morning walk at Selly Park would be quite refreshing before you set off to your busy day on campus. It has spacious greenery, nice scenery, and walking trails. Over the weekend, you may enjoy a night out with your pals and watch the latest box office movies at the ODEON Luxe Birmingham Broadway Plaza movie theatre. You may also choose to go on a shopping spree at Selly Oak Shopping Park where you’ll find lots of shops and eateries. Another thing you can do during the weekend is become a tourist for the day and visit the Selly Manor Museum where you can explore the local history and more.

Birmingham City University: City South Campus is a nine-minute drive, Aston University is a 15-minute ride, the University College Birmingham is a 12-minute drive, Ulster University Birmingham Campus is an 11-minute ride, and the University of Birmingham is a nine-minute walk. Grange Rd bus station is two minutes away and Bristol Road/Dawlish Rd bus station is a one-minute walk. Selly Oak train station is a ten-minute walk from the building and Grand Central tram stop is a 15-minute ride.

A booking is considered complete when there is:
Signed Tenancy Agreement
Payment of deposit, full rent/ first rent installment
Accepted Guarantor Agreement, if applicable

International students can pay in 4 instalments for long-term bookings without a UK guarantor.
Please note that to complete bookings we require the following:
- The £250 Advance Rent as stated on the tenancy document (for the avoidance of doubt, no Advance Rent is required for bookings in Scotland).
- There is no Deposit for properties in Scotland.
- Payment details – International students can choose to pay via bank transfer or by card.
- The tenancy agreement needs to be agreed upon by both the student and the guarantor
- Multiple cities don't require ARP, including Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Sheffield, Bedford, Birmingham, Cardiff, Coventry, Durham, Leicester, London, Loughborough, Medway, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton, and Leeds.
UK Students can pay up to 7 instalments for Long-term bookings.
7 days Cooling Off Period After Booking Confirmation
Provided the 7 Day Cooling-Off-Period has expired, you will have to pay all amounts due under your Tenancy Agreement unless a replacement Tenant is found for your Room or you enter into a new Tenancy.
If a replacement Tenant is found for your Room after your start date, we will release you from your Tenancy Agreement from the start date of the replacement Tenant's new Tenancy Agreement. If you have occupied the Room prior to this, you will be charged £50.00 to cover our costs of preparing the Room for the replacement Tenant.
No Place No Pay – applicable to 1st-year students only.
If you are a prospective first-year undergraduate student and your offer of a place at your preferred University/Higher Education Institution is withdrawn you may be eligible to be released from this agreement.
To apply to be released from this agreement in the circumstances referred to above, you will need to supply us with a copy of:
- a written rejection letter from your chosen university/college or UCAS or a screenshot of your UCAS status which confirms that the required results were not achieved; or
- a copy of the proof of acceptance of your new university by UCAS adjustment.
These document(s) must be received by us within 7 calendar days from the date your results are published.
31 May Cancellation Promotion: if you book a room with Unite Students for the 2021/22 academic year by 31 May 2021, you can cancel your booking before this date without penalty.
