History and Background  

Aston University is a public research university situated in England’s 2nd largest city by population, Birmingham. The university’s history can be traced back to 1895 when a school of Metallurgy was established in Birmingham, then it became the Birmingham Municipal Technical School. Departments and Divisions 

Aston University is made up of five schools that work together for the sake of the students and their community. These departments are Engineering and Applied Science, Languages and Social Sciences, Life and Health Sciences, the Aston Medical School, and the Aston Business School.

Aston University has a four-story library that contains over 250,000 books, 3,500 electronic journals, 40 digital databases, and about 700 studying and reading areas. The library is open 24/7 during the term as well as during the exams period. The library contains high-speed free Wi-Fi, computer labs, a coffee shop, and study spaces.
