The University of Reading, Greenland Campus is situated on the banks of the River Thames. The Greenlands Campus is one of the four main campuses of the university.
The University of Reading was founded in 1892 and was previously known as University College, Reading. It was the United Kingdom's sole new university between the two world wars, attaining university status in 1926.
In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, Reading was placed 35th in the UK for research quality (GPA) and 28th for research power among multi-faculty universities. In total, 98% of the University's research is deemed "internationally recognized," 78% "internationally excellent," and 27% "world-leading."
At the University of Reading's Greenland Campus, students can pick from a number of programmes. It offers Undergraduate Courses, Foundation Programs, Integrated Master's Courses, Master's and Postgraduate Research Programs, as well as Undergraduate Courses, Foundation Programs, and Integrated Master's Courses. There are undergraduate courses in Ancient History, English Language and Applied Linguistics, Meteorology and Climate, and other subjects. Domestic foundation programmes and international foundation programmes are the two types of foundation programmes. They prepare students for the first year of their chosen undergraduate degree. Integrated Master's Courses are available in a variety of fields, including Architecture, Mathematics, and Speech and Language Therapy, to name a few. On campus, you can pursue master's degrees in construction management and engineering, food and nutritional sciences, project management, and other fields. Some of the fields of research for postgraduate research include accounting, energy and environmental engineering, and real estate and planning. The campus is also home to Henley Business School, one of Europe’s top business schools.
The campus has many facilities and services that are of benefit to students. These include a fully-equipped fitness centre, business facilities, a conference centre, accommodation, and a dining room. Other amenities include John H Dunning Library, Garden Hall, Garden common Room, bar common room, a business centre, and a barbeque area. Students may also use the IT and science laboratories available on campus.
There is a range of accommodation options on campus, ranging from self-catered to catered. In both forms of accommodation, there are ensuite rooms and shared rooms. The all-inclusive accommodation includes, among other things, high-speed Wi-Fi, a social calendar, contents insurance, maintenance, communal cleaning, CCTV, a dedicated on-site staff, social spaces, and study areas.
