University College of Estate Management (UCEM), formerly known as the College of Estate Management (CEM), is a higher-education institution that offers distance learning courses to people working in the real estate development and construction industries all over the world.
The "Chartered Auctioneers' and Estate Agents' Institute," which eventually became the "Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, (RICS)" launched the College of Estate Management in 1919. The institution was created primarily to assist the Estate Management and Construction industries, which are both property-related. The University of London granted the College permission to conduct tuition for its internal degree in 1938. The College first collaborated with the University of Reading in 1967, and in 1972, it moved from Kensington, London, to the University of Reading's Whiteknights Campus.
