Glasgow International College (GIC) is a Kaplan international university pathway in partnership with the University of Glasgow and is integrated into the University campus.
Kaplan International is a division of education company Kaplan Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Graham Holdings Company.
Kaplan International, formed in 2005, is headquartered in London and consists of several global education businesses including Kaplan International Pathways and Kaplan International Languages. Kaplan International Pathways has partnerships with over 40 universities worldwide.
In 2007, Kaplan and the University of Glasgow entered into a partnership to establish Glasgow International College (GIC).
The college provides students with several course options to prepare for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Glasgow. GIC offers a Foundation Certificate; students who meet the criteria can progress to the second year of particular undergraduate programmes at the University. The Foundation Certificate subjects are “Business and Social Sciences” and “Science and Engineering”.
The Pre-Masters students who meet the criteria may enter Masters programmes at the University. The Pre-Masters subjects include “Business, Economics, and Finance”, and “Science and Engineering”. Check the courses and subjects section on the university’s page for more information.
