Departments and Divisions

Sussex University offers many undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, courses, and programmes. Undergraduate courses have a wide range of variety for students to choose from such as Accounting, Banking, and Finance, American Studies, Anthropology, Art History, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Business and Management, Criminology, Digital Media, and many more. Foundation Year courses are also available if students didn’t get the required grades for their chosen undergraduate course, if students aren’t sure what subjects they would like to study, or if they’re returning to study after some time away. Subjects available at Sussex University for Foundation Years are Arts and Humanities BA, Business, Management and Economics BSc, Computing Sciences BSc, Design and Business BSc, Engineering BEng, Life Sciences (with a foundation year) BSc, Mathematics BSc, Physics and Astronomy BSc, Psychology BSc, and Social Sciences BA. 

Masters Courses are offered by the university in a wide range of subjects such as Accounting, Banking, and Finance, Anthropology, Chemistry, Biology, Drama and Theatre, Economics, Education and Teaching, and many more. Sussex University also provides PhD degrees in a variety of subjects such as American Studies, Art History, Childhood and Youth Study, Cultural Studies, Engineering and Robotics, Film Studies, Geography, History and many more. The university also has a number of research programmes, centres, and groups. Sussex University has a large number of facilities which include a library, shops, cafes, and bars such as The Co-operative Food, a post office, a union shop, Barclays Bank, cash machines, SussexSport which is located in the Sport Centre and Falmer Sports Centre, a health centre, a dentist, a pharmacy, Chaplaincy and Meeting House, childcare, laundrette, and a conference centre.

Sussex University student accommodation is offered for undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and families as well as private accommodation and summer accommodation.

Sussex University Student Accommodation for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students:

Sussex University student accommodation is available for undergraduate and postgraduate students at nine on-campus self-catered housing options with either en-suite rooms or single rooms with a shared bathroom. En-suite options are available in Northfield flats, shared with 6 to 8 flamates, Stanmer Court flats, shared with 4 to 6 flatmates, Swanborough flats, shared with 4 to 7 flamates, Lewes Court flats, shared with 5 to 6 flamates, and East Slope Residences. Shared bathrooms options are available in Brighthelm houses with 5 housemates, Lewes Court flats with 5 to 6 flatmates, Norwich House with 12 flatmates, and East Slope residences.

Sussex University student accommodation for families is offered for students coming to the university to study with a child or a family. 

Sussex University Summer Accommodation: 

Sussex University student accommodation is offered during summer for Sussex students or groups of tourists wishing to stay near the seaside. Sussex summer accommodation is available at Brighton and it’s self-catered, affordable, and comfortable accommodation. The accommodation facilities include single rooms with shared bathroom, single en-suite rooms, accommodation with access to a shared kitchen, cafes, shops, bars, launderettes, and cash machines available on campus, 24/7 key collection service, parking, and Wi-Fi.
