Departments and Divisions
The University of Sussex International Study Centre offers several programmes for international students; these include International Foundation Year, International Year One, Pre-Masters, and English language courses. The International Foundation Year programme is intended to help students enhance their English language skills as well as their academic study skills before they begin the first year of their undergraduate degree. Subjects in this programme include Business, Media and Social Sciences and Science and Engineering. The International Year One programme is equivalent to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree and it helps students progress onto the second year of their desired undergraduate degree. Subjects in this programme include Computing, Engineering, Film and Media…etc. As for the Pre-Masters, it is a preparatory programme for international students who intend to pursue one of the University of Sussex's Master's degrees. The programme’s subjects include Business, Law, International Relations…etc. English language courses are available on campus for students who do not meet the English language requirements for university entry. The types of English courses include English Language Preparation, English for Pre-Masters, and Language Lift.

The Study Centre offers its students many on-campus accommodation options. The halls of residence include Northfield, Stanmer Court, Brighthelm, and Lewes Court. Standard and ensuite room types are available in these halls. The rooms offer a number of amenities and services; these include a bed, wardrobe and drawers, desk and chair, bookshelves and a mirror. They also have telephone and internet access.
