If you come from somewhere tropical, you will find Bangalore weather very pleasant. Living in a student room in Bangalore will allow you to not just enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery, but also it will easily give you an outlet to get to know the urban Indian culture a bit more.

Bangalore Lifestyle

Bangalore is considered the capital of the southern Indian state Karnataka where the high-tech industry thrives the most. With lots of parks and nightlife destinations and tech start-ups, Bangalore is the best place for day to day picnics, outdoor studying, and summer training opportunities.

Bangalore isn’t really a rural area nor a lower class area, it’s more of an upper-middle-class with urban nature. So, if you are looking for an opportunity to travel outside the city and engage deeply with the Indian culture, you will have to wait till the weekends so you can do exactly that.

Bangalore has two main former royal residences, Bangalore Palace and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, both are perfect for a break from your studies to enjoy a historical glimpse of the Indian culture.  Also, there are a couple of places that you can visit within the city if you’re on a budget or you don’t have any time to waste travelling outside the city. Sadahalli Quarry Temple, Sri Vishwaroopa Vijaya Vittala Temple, Devanahalli Fort, all three are tremendously breathtaking and will make you feel engaged and deeply grounded within the Indian culture/history.

Bangalore Weather

The Weather in Bangalore is very pleasant throughout the year. During the Monsoons season, which starts from the end of May to the end of September, it becomes a bit windy, and you should be expecting some pouring, especially in August and September, but it won’t exceed twenty-ish°C on average. All you need is an umbrella and some rain boots and you are good to go.

During the Wintertime, which starts from October to February, it’s usually around a minimum of 10°C, so you won’t be needing any heavy snow jackets to feel warm, just a sweater or a light jacket at night will do just fine. During the Summer, which starts from March to May; it’s usually pleasant with a maximum temperature of around 36°C.

Bangalore Transportation

In the city, you will find it easy to go anywhere in Bangalore with various means of transportation that suits your budget, from buses to taxies, rickshaws (toktok), metro and even trains. Outside the city, you will only be able to commute by buses and trains, which most of the time are more cost-efficient and faster.
