About Scape South Bank

Location

1. A student will pay a week's holding deposit to confirm their booking. This is not an extra fee but this goes into their first week's rent payment. 2. The bond deposit is four weeks' rent amount (eg. if rent is $400 per week then it will be $400 x 4) and this is payable to us 10 days prior to arrival. This amount is then lodged on behalf to the relevant state's bond authority and the bond authority will email the student directly to confirm that Scape Group has lodged the bond on behalf of the student. 3. After the confirmation of their booking, the student will have access to their portal/ student account. This will allow them to view everything in regards to their tenancy and also their contract is accessible for signing 8 weeks prior to their contract start date.&nbsp; 4. In regards to the rent payment frequency, they will only have two choices - fortnight rent payment or all upfront payment (prior to tenancy start). Should they choose the former option, they will have to fill in paperwork for a direct debit option. International students can pay fortnightly or all up front when they arrive. A 1-week rent is required in advance to secure your room. Please note that this holding deposit is allocated to the first week’s rent amount, and is not an application fee or processing fee at all.

The <a href="https://www.casita.com/student-accommodation/australia/st-lucia/university-of-queensland-st-lucia-campus" style="">University of Queensland, St Lucia Campus</a> is a 15-minute drive from the building, and <a href="https://www.casita.com/student-accommodation/australia/brisbane/james-cook-university-brisbane-campus" style="">James Cook University, Brisbane Campus</a> is a 14-minute ride. Vulture Street Hail 'n' Ride bus station is a six-minute walk from the building. South Bank train station is a one-minute walk.

Great place! Friendly staff (Andrea and Dom), lots of awesome events by caitlin!

Hands down one of the best student accommodations in Brisbane! Lived here for over a year and it has been a great experience so far.

Pros:
- Located in a central spot where grocery stores, restaurants, public transport are easily accessible.
- The studio apartments in my opinion are ideally spacious, appliances like a microwave, bar fridge (with freezer), toaster and electric kettle are provided. Comes with a 40 inch smart TV as well!
- Free breakfast on weekdays from 7 am to 9 am (Really helpful when you're rushing to uni:) ).
- 10 minute walk to QUT Gardens Point campus.
- Multiple activities are held every month and is a great opportunity to make new friends!
- 24/7 open gym.
- Has a backyard space with a basketball court (half court) and a volleyball/football court (not regulation but big enough to have a fun game).
- The staff here are extremely friendly, approachable and helpful.
- Plenty of room for A LOT of activities with friends (pool tables, table tennis, foosball and a movie theatre).
- Free unlimited Wi-Fi for residents.

Cons:
- Windows don't open.
- Bathroom doesn't have a shower screen, resulting in the bathroom floor getting wet (can easily be solved by placing a towel you don't use).
- Centrally located air-con. This issue mainly arises during the winter as the buildings AC unit switches to heating mode, which can be a bit irritating at first but you get used to it after a few days.

A great student accommodation. The apartments and facilities are so nice, and the staff/receptionists are all so friendly and approachable.

honestly the best student accommodation in Brisbane. The receptionists are so approachable, environment is always kept clean, furniture’s new (and white!!), and the rooftop vibes are just amazing. Glad to have found a home away from home.

The best accommodation amongst the others nearby however the rooms have no windows.
