The name (Philadelphia) is a Greek name that means “brotherly love”. It’s the city of firsts. The home to the US first med school, library, business school, stock exchange, and more. A world-class study destination, Philadelphia is the largest city of Pennsylvania state, USA. It is the home of Independence Hall and an educational and economic hub due to the big number of universities and colleges in many majors. Weather in Philadelphia

Philadelphia has warm and mild weather over the course of the year. Summers are humid and cool. While winters are modestly cold. It overlooks the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers, and the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the mountains on the west influenced its weather. The temperature varies from 26°C  (87°F) and 2°C (36°F).

 Attractions and Places to Visit in Philadelphia

1. Reading Terminal Market, which is one of the oldest markets and most visited in the US. A magical place where you will find any ingredient and books you imagine for creating an unforgettable meal! Also, there are various restaurants in the same building.

2. The Liberty Bell Center is the icon of freedom in the United States. If you are a history geek, you should visit it! They built small alcoves there showing short films explaining the history of the Bell in 9 languages.

3. Longwood Gardens: There you will find various fascinating kinds of plants. The gardens host tens of events and educational programs every year that you will enjoy a lot with your friends if you prefer nature and a healthy environment over the town.

Finally, the city has multiple science museums, including franklin Institute, Eastern State Penitentiary, Penn Museum, Old City Hall, Independence Seaport Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and plenty of other attractions to have fun.

Transportation in Philadelphia

     The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) operates the public transportation network in the city, providing citizens with comfortable affordable means like buses, trains, subway, and trolleys. You can easily get around with such a system. Here you can download the app for IOS, or Android so that you always stay updated with any delays because of the weather.

The city has the best bicycle commuters of the 10 largest cities in the US, according to the bicycling magazine

Universities in Philadelphia 

Philadelphia has way range of universities such as the University of Pennsylvania is famous for its med, dental, design, social sciences, communication schools, as well as engineering and law schools and more. Warren Buffett, John Legend, and Elon Mask are some of its notable alumni. Drexel University is a private institution. It’s known for its student clubs and organizations that are more than 300. Thomas Jefferson University East Falls Campus is a prestigious top-ranking university in the US that is known for sports and high-quality education level.
