Exeter College is considered to be one of the first providers in the country for offering the Government's new T Level qualifications which is a technical-based qualification that is set to revolutionize technical education in the UK. It was founded in 1970 and was judged as outstanding by Ofsted in a pilot “no notice” inspection in 2012.

Exeter College offers T Level courses, adult courses, and apprenticeships. Each building at Exeter College includes specialist industry-standard equipment and facilities related to the curriculum such as engineering and CADCAM workshops, TV studio, central fitness gym, radio station, a leap of faith tower and climbing walls, photography darkrooms, Mac suites, and more. Exeter college student accommodation is only available for Exeter Chiefs Rugby Academy students and it gives them the opportunity to focus on both their training schedule and their academic studies.
