Why Study at City of Bristol College
When Brunel College amalgamated with South Bristol College in 1996, the City of Bristol College was established, then it merged with Soundwell College and smaller establishments such as the College of Care and Early Years Education. The college received Ofsted's lowest rating as it was very inadequate in 2013 and these drawbacks led to the closing of the Soundwell Center and some buildings of the Ashley Down Campus. The college got its reputation back in 2017 considering the required improvements from Ofsted and it got back on track by being good at provisions for learners with high needs and adult study programs. In the same year, the City of Bristol College received the Silver Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) award for the quality of educational outcomes and high-class learning.
