Why Study at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology-Nelson Campus?
Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology is the largest public Tertiary Education Institution at the Top of the South Island in New Zealand. The Nelson Technical School (the forerunner of NMIT) was set up in 1904 and was opened in 1905. It is one of the top 20 national educational institutions. Also, it is the Nelson Marlborough region's largest education and training provider. NMIT attracts many international students annually.

NMIT offers a wide range of courses, including short courses and online courses. The main subject fields of the courses are aviation engineering, bridging, business, computing and information technology, creative industries, engineering, construction & infrastructure, languages, maritime, micro-credential, māori studies, nursing, fitness, beauty & social sciences, primary industries, tourism, hospitality & services, and vocational studies.
