Confirmation, Acknowledgement & Cancellation Policy

By proceeding with a booking, you confirm and acknowledge the following:

1. Booking & Deposit

• Your booking will be held for 12 hours only. If the deposit is not paid within this timeframe, Belong reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

2. Booking Confirmation

• Upon receipt of the deposit, Belong will issue a payment receipt and booking confirmation letter.

• At least two weeks before check-in, a formal lease agreement for your specific apartment will be provided.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• a) If you cancel your booking 15 days or more before your move-in date:

  • The prepaid rent will be forfeited, but the deposit will be refunded, minus a $500 + GST administrative fee and any out-of-pocket expenses.
    
    

• b) If you cancel your booking 14 days or less before move-in:

  • The deposit will be forfeited, but the prepaid rent will be refunded.
    
    

• c) If you fail to sign your lease on the scheduled move-in date, clause 3b applies.

• d) If you cancel after signing the lease agreement, then the lease agreement terms will apply.

4. Apartment Availability

• Except as stated in clause 3, the deposit is non-refundable unless your selected apartment type is unavailable and Belong is unable to offer a suitable alternative.

5. Documentation Requirements

• You must submit all required documentation (passport, ID, Visa, CoE) before your check-in date.
  
  

• If documentation is not provided:

  • At least 15 days before check-in: Belong may cancel the booking, refund the 4-week deposit, and deduct 2 weeks of prepaid rent + a $500 + GST admin fee.

  • Within 14 days of check-in: Belong may cancel the booking, refund 2 weeks of prepaid rent, and deduct the 4-week deposit + a $500 + GST admin fee.
    
    

6. Joint Lease Bookings

• All tenants in a joint lease must submit the required documentation.

• If any tenant fails to comply, Belong reserves the right to cancel or postpone the booking.

7. Furniture Holding Deposit

• The booking deposit will be applied towards a furniture holding deposit when the lease is signed.

• This deposit will be returned at the end of the lease, minus any deductions for damage or loss.

8. Apartment Media

• Apartment videos and photos are for illustrative purposes only. Final room details will be provided 1–2 weeks prior to move-in.

The above cancellation policy is a synopsis of the property’s cancellation policy. There could be a few changes incorporated from time to time. Hence, we recommend you review the full Accommodation Contract for a comprehensive understanding of their cancellation policies.
