About Weston Court

Manchester is one of the major cities in the UK. It is located in North West England and is the most populous city in Greater Manchester. The River Irwell flows through the city. 

Weston Court by Dwell UK is a student housing in Manchester that offers Apartments. The rooms in these apartments come in two styles: Bronze Non-Ensuite and Bronze Two-Bed. They feature a small double bed, a shared bathroom, a shared kitchen, and a shared open-plan lounge with a TV.

The building offers different amenities and services. The amenities include Wi-Fi, contents insurance, all-inclusive bills, an on-site accommodation team, laundry, an on-site maintenance team, an on-site car park, and social events calendar. 

The residence is located at Weston Court, just a short drive from Manchester city centre. It has great nearby entertainment locations and diverse eatery options. If you’re craving some mouth-watering pizza, we suggest you make a stop at Fireaway Designer Pizza eatery just a few minutes from the building. It serves a creative pizza menu plus other classic Italian plates. If you’re into Chinese food, Fuzion Noodle Bar is just a 10-minute walk from the property and it offers an Asian-street food menu such as noodles in a laid-back spot. Want to have a taste of Middle Eastern food? AlMasry Wrap & Curry & Seafood restaurant offers a wide variety of Middle Eastern food and specializes in delicious and rich Egyptian plates. When you need to go do some grocery shopping, Sainsbury's grand supermarket is just down the road and it has various products at your disposal. When you need to relax, we suggest you take a relaxing evening stroll at Platt Fields Park. It is a large city park that is only seven minutes away from the building and it has a big lake, sports pitches, tennis courts, and a community orchard. You may also shake off the stress of the day and so some working out at The Gym Group Manchester Fallowfield that is clean and fully equipped. On the weekends, you may go on a shopping spree at Houldsworth Mill Shopping Centre which has many shops and boutiques. You may also take a walk at the floral and lovely Sunny Alley which is a famous tourist attraction in the city.

The building is an eight-minute ride from the University of Manchester, a 19-minute drive from the University of Salford, and an 11-minute ride from Manchester Metropolitan University. Grangethorpe Road bus station is a three-minute walk from the building and Old Hall Lane bus station is also a  three-minute walk. Levenshulme train station is a ten-minute ride.

Cancellation Policy

Is there a FREE cancellation period if I’m still undecided on what to do?

Yes! If you have booked a 21/22 academic year room with us here at dwell, you can cancel your 21/22 contract up to and including the 31st May 2021 without being tied into the contract or being responsible for any rental fees. This is not applicable to any students that have deferred their 20/21 contract to the 21/22 year.

If you are cancelling after 31st May 2021, then the below Cancellation Policy applies.

 

What if I sign/signed my contract on or before the 31st July 2021?

Up to and including the 31st July 2021, you can sign your contract but then request to cancel within 3 days of signing your contract. This is known as your 3-day cooling-off period.

If however you signed your contract on or before 31st July, but you request to cancel outside of your 3 days cooling-off period, then you will be tied into the contract until a suitable replacement tenant is found.

What if I sign/signed my contract on or after 1st August 2021?

If you sign your contract on or after 1st August 2021, you will be immediately tied into the contract as we do not offer a cooling-off period on or after this date. 

Special Circumstances (outside the scope of the above 3 points):

  • 1st Year Guarantee:
    If you are going into your 1st year at university, and you, unfortunately, do not achieve the required grades for your course/university, you will be released from your contract providing we receive a cancellation request email and results as evidence within 48 hours of your results being published
  • International Students:
    If you are coming to study from outside of the UK, and you require a VISA for this study but your VISA application is unfortunately denied, then you are able to cancel your contract as long as your contract has not yet started. You will also need to provide one of the following as supporting evidence. 

1)  Confirmation of your VISA rejection  

 2)  Confirmation of failure to gain University place

COVID-19 – Bookings for the 21/22 Academic Year and for January 2021:

If you believe any of the below scenarios are applicable to you, you would need to email us all of the relevant details/evidence as outlined below, by no later than midnight 31/08/2021

If you are staying with us from January 2021, you would need to email us all of the relevant details/evidence outlined below within 5 days before your contract start date.

  • Delay in University Commencement / Only Offering Online Courses:
    Should there be a delay to the start date of universities, or for the period where the universities are closed and offering online courses, we can offer a delay of the contract start date to the new official start date of universities will be allowed – providing you supply official confirmation of this via email to
  • Deferring Your University Offer?
    If you decide to defer your 1st-year university place until the 22/23 academic year, we would like to offer you the chance to do the same with your accommodation. Provide us with official confirmation that you have deferred your university place to the 22/23 academic year. We will then review your case and if we were able to defer your contract, we’d email you official confirmation of your accommodation contract deferment until the 22/23 academic year. 
  • Cancellation of Your College/University Course due to Covid-19:
    If your 21/22 college or university course is unfortunately cancelled altogether due to Covid-19, you will be released from your contract providing we receive a cancellation request email and course cancellation evidence within 48 hours of your college/university informing you.
  • Travel Ban:
    In the event there is a government-imposed ban restricting arrivals into UK or departure from the country you are residing in, deferment to when the travel ban is lifted will be allowed; provided that you send us an email informing us of this with evidence.

Horrible experience. I was looking to book a room, and I was contacting the student care team. They were very rude and arrogant over the phone. Would not respond to the emails on time as well. I was looking forward to moving in, but looking at the way they treat their prospective tenants, I decided to move someplace else.

I've lived here for 3 years of uni. The staff and maintenance team have always been exceptionally kind and helpful. My overall experience of living here has been laid back and really enjoyable. I would highly recommend this accommodation to any student looking for somewhere to live! It's cheap and it's in a good location close to several parks and shops. The WiFi is good and the security has been increased since previous years.
