Constant problems with this accommodation, staff are so useless it’s a joke. They only care about the money! No hot water for months, the radiators weren’t even working in Winter ?? My fridge has been broken for months and no one has come to fix it despite me complaining about it, staff promise to fix issues and don’t even take a record of what you’ve said. Fire alarm goes off at least 5 times a week minimum. The TV doesn’t even work despite the advertising. The accommodation itself is a fail and the staff here are so rude, so unwelcoming and do not care about the safety of those living here at all which makes it 10 times worst.

The people running the accommodation are quite rude. Rebecca (the receptionist) is not helpful at all. I had asked to change my room due to noise concerns and they failed to help me even though most of the accommodation was empty. I was even willing to pay more and nothing was done. There is a piano at the reception, but you're not allowed to play it because of noise concerns. However the noise from the 'party room' resonates throughout the accommodation and nothing was done about that. I think one star is also too much.

First of all, Nova is overpriced. For what you get, it's not worth it. Save money and find somewhere else affordable. To any who has booked/about to book any of the Premier Linked studios or any room that faces WOLLATON STREET, RUN. The rooms do not have opening windows!! There is no opening windows on the floor as well so you will literally breathe in the same air you're breathing out. I repeat ASK IF YOUR ROOM HAS AN OPENING WINDOW BEFORE BOOKING!!! If you do decide to still go with this room, you will suffer the consequences especially in the Summer. Their interpretation of a window is a glass pane that you cannot open.. Hazard as well as a health risk. There has been times where there has been no water at ALL in the building or there is no hot water. Fire alarms go off all the time AT ANY TIME - as in any time during the night and whenever during the day but there's no fire. A joke. Onto the staff, love Rebecca - she's such a sweetheart who you can have a chat with whenever she's there! Get to know Jacob and he's a cool guy who is very easy to relate to - legend. Finally, Michael; get on his good side and you're good! The main manager; Tommy is rarely there but hey ho, the building still runs fine without him. Head management; Lia Juarez in particular is the most unhelpful person. She will ignore your emails alongside everyone at the head office. Unless you talk about legal action, they won't take you seriously. Yes, the retainer room that has the cinema room, games room and study room - all amazing but it's not worth the money. It's really not. If I can help someone save money with this review, I am going to try. The location is very ideal yes but again not worth your money. There are many better studios in Nottingham that are for a lesser price and you will get much more than Nova offers. Being real, they bump up the prices every year by £10/£20 so you're getting bumped. Those coming into Nova for 2021/22, just know your room is now at its peak price and the people who already lived at Nova before you i.e. extended their tenancy for another year, are paying less than you - secret's out! In simpler terms, a 6 bed ensuite was £149 back in the day, now it's £175. Right. Also, they use to 51 week contract to make extra money because you're realistically not going to stay in Nova over the Summer. BIG ONE: IF COVID FORCES UNI STUDENTS TO GO BACK HOME AGAIN, DO NOT PAY RENT TO NOVA!!!! THEY WILL EMAIL YOU THREATENING XYZ BUT IT'S A BLUFF! DO. NOT. PAY. FOR. SOMEWHERE. YOU. CAN'T. STAY. IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me, I did not pay mine and they stopped emailing and my rent money went to better use i.e. my savings :) Also final one, if you do choose to stay at Nova, make sure you check out the room properly when you fill in the inventory!!!! They will charge you for any damages that are in the room once you leave so put any damages to the walls/toilets/bed in the inventory so they know it was like that before you came! This is an honest review that I'm sure Collegiate x Nova x Prima Vidae x Nottingham's Finest x Luxury Student Accommodation will appreciate (they are constantly changing their name when something doesn't go right but that's another story ;) ...

The time is 2.30 in the morning,I have to endure a ten-minute fire alarm noise. This has happened countless times in the last month. For up to six days, you were woken by fire alarms in your sleep every morning, sometimes at 2 a.m. and sometimes at 4 a.m I didn't mean to pay 184 pounds a week to be awakened from a dream. The staff and the apartment have an obligation to keep our lives running well. When I asked the staff in reception after five days of living like this ,how to fix the problem, there was no solution, and he replied that he wasn't there in the time so he didn't know what was going on,I said you should know which room set off the fire alarm, whether they did it on purpose, if so you need to email them, if not then there is something wrong with your fire alarm system. Unfortunately the staff say they have no way of knowing which room triggered the fire alarm system. I think they are refusing to take responsibility and treating the occupants like idiots.

IDK if fire alarm blast several times at midnight, should not someone send us email to explain why? It happens too much and I am worried once there is a real danger who will believe???.
