Transportation in Fort Collins

Transfort is Fort Collins’ public bus system with more than 20 regular bus routes and over 500 bus stops. It offers residents a safe and convenient alternative for commuting and transportation. It also provides riders with a number of options for accessing bus information. Also part of the Transfort system is MAX Bus Rapid Transit. MAX combines many features of rail transit with the flexibility of buses. It follows a transit-only guideway, or in other words, its own road that runs parallel to the BNSF Railway between the South Transit Center just south of Harmony Road and Downtown. It links with Transfort bus routes, Park-n-Rides, and the trail system with 12 stations and stops.
