The University of Wales Trinity Saint David was formed on 18 November 2010 through the merger of the University of Wales Lampeter and Trinity University College Carmarthen, under Lampeter’s Royal Charter of 1828. The university was ranked the 7th in the UK for student satisfaction with teaching quality by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide in 2021. Additionally, it was ranked the 2nd in the UK for satisfaction with feedback by Guardian League Table in 2021. The university has more than 300 courses across three institutes. The main subject areas that these courses revolve around are the following: ancient world, animation and games, anthropology, international development and global politics, archaeology, architecture, art and design, business and management, childhood, youth, and education studies. UWTSD has three main campuses in South West Wales – Carmarthen, Lampeter and Swansea, as well as campuses in Birmingham and London and learning centres in Cardiff.
