Established in 1974 and located in the centre of Oxford, College of International Education is a professional and independent English language school. CIE is known for its small class sizes which usually contain no more than 8 students. The college is accredited by The British Accreditation Council, the British Council, and the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI). It’s also a Highly Trusted Sponsor and a member of English UK.
You will be living in Oxford where cafe culture is alive. It’s also home to a wide range of restaurants, specialising in everything from Malaysian and Libyan cuisine to home-style British pub fare. You will find many bus services all around Oxford as well so it won’t be a hassle to move around.
College of International Education offers General English language courses for adults and juniors, Business Foundation courses, and Young Learners courses such as Pre-boarding and Pre-International Baccalaureate. Online courses, academic courses, and group programmes.
The College of International Education’s building is located just opposite the Oxford Union in St Michael’s Street. It consists of many facilities including a computer room with 6 computers available until 5pm, 5 classrooms varying in size from 8 to 13 students’ capacity, a students’ common room with a small lending library, a reception area, an administrative office, and a kitchenette that offers free coffee and tea as well as a microwave and a refrigerator.
CIE has a very international student body, with over 90% of students coming from outside the UK.
CIE offers a number of scholarships for international students, including the CIE Scholarship, the Oxford University Press Scholarship, and the British Council Scholarship. These scholarships can cover a portion of the tuition fees or living expenses.
