Newcastle College is a further education and higher education college located in Newcastle upon Tyne, in the North-Eastern part of England. The College’s origins date back to over 120 years ago to 1894 when Rutherford Memorial College was established at Rye Hill. It has grown over the years and it expanded to nine other satellite sites across Gateshead, Newcastle, and North Tyneside. In 2011, Newcastle College was awarded the Foundation Degree awarding powers (FDAP), giving it the ability to validate its own Foundation Degrees.
