Quay Point is a student housing in Newcastle suitable for those who are looking for student housing upon the river Tyne. The building provides en-suites that come in two styles: classic en-suite and premium range 1 en-suite. They feature a double-bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, a bedside table, a desk and a chair, a chest of drawers, under-bed storage, and a private bathroom.
The building provides various facilities and services. The facilities include Wi-Fi, all-inclusive bills, secure access, CCTV, contents insurance, an on-site service team, 24/7 assistance, and a fire system. Other services include laundry, bike storage, a gym, a cinema room, a common area, and an outdoor social space.
The residence is located on Stepney Lane, only a seven-minute drive from the centre of the city. It’s in the heart of life, nightlife, history, food, and drink; surrounded by many exciting and lively locations, including eatery spots, entertainment venues, and other places of interest. If you’re craving a mouth-watering pizza, Gusto Italian restaurant is seven minutes away and it serves Italian fare including pasta and pizza in a modern setting. If you wish to grab a quick bite, Texas Smoker diner is nearby and it offers burgers plus fires and drinks in a vibrant atmosphere. Chiquito is another nearby restaurant offering Mexican food including tacos and burritos in a lively space. When you need to do some grocery shopping, Premier Express 'The Lanes Mini Market' is just around the corner and it has everything you’d need for reasonable prices. Before you set off for your busy day on campus, we suggest you go for a refreshing morning walk at Civic Centre Gardens. It has green fields, walking trails, and nice scenery. Over the weekend, you may enjoy a night out with your friends and watch the latest box office movies at the Everyman Newcastle movie theatre. You may also choose to go on a shopping spree at Eldon Square where you’ll find lots of shops, stores, and boutiques. Another thing you can do during the weekend is visit The Natural History Society Of Northumbria where you can explore the natural history through interesting exhibitions.
The building is a 19-minute walk from Newcastle University and an 11-minute walk from Northumbria University. Monument Pilgrim Street bus station is a 12-minute walk from the building. Manors subway station is a five-minute walk and Monument subway station is a 13-minute walk. Newcastle (NCL) train station is a 19-minute walk.

International students can pay in 4 instalments for long-term bookings without a UK guarantor.
Please note that to complete bookings we require the following:
- The £250 Advance Rent as stated on the tenancy document (for the avoidance of doubt, no Advance Rent is required for bookings in Scotland).
- There is no Deposit for properties in Scotland.
- Payment details – International students can choose to pay via bank transfer or by card.
- The tenancy agreement needs to be agreed upon by both the student and the guarantor
- Multiple cities don't require ARP, including Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Sheffield, Bedford, Birmingham, Cardiff, Coventry, Durham, Leicester, London, Loughborough, Medway, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton, and Leeds.
UK Students can pay up to 7 instalments for Long-term bookings.
7 days Cooling Off Period After Booking Confirmation
Provided the 7 Day Cooling-Off-Period has expired, you will have to pay all amounts due under your Tenancy Agreement unless a replacement Tenant is found for your Room or you enter into a new Tenancy.
If a replacement Tenant is found for your Room after your start date, we will release you from your Tenancy Agreement from the start date of the replacement Tenant's new Tenancy Agreement. If you have occupied the Room prior to this, you will be charged £50.00 to cover our costs of preparing the Room for the replacement Tenant.
No Place No Pay – applicable to 1st-year students only.
If you are a prospective first-year undergraduate student and your offer of a place at your preferred University/Higher Education Institution is withdrawn you may be eligible to be released from this agreement.
To apply to be released from this agreement in the circumstances referred to above, you will need to supply us with a copy of:
- a written rejection letter from your chosen university/college or UCAS or a screenshot of your UCAS status which confirms that the required results were not achieved; or
- a copy of the proof of acceptance of your new university by UCAS adjustment.
These document(s) must be received by us within 7 calendar days from the date your results are published.
31 May Cancellation Promotion: if you book a room with Unite Students for the 2021/22 academic year by 31 May 2021, you can cancel your booking before this date without penalty.
