About Green Wood Court

Southampton, on the south coast of England, is the largest city in the ceremonial county of Hampshire. It’s the home of fish singers. During the 1950s, Clarence Birdseye invented them after testing herring and cod sticks on members of the public.

-

Green Wood Court is a student housing in Southampton that offers studios and single Rooms. Students who choose single rooms will be sharing the bathroom, the living area, and the kitchen with other students while having their rooms featuring comfy beds, workspaces and wardrobes. Single rooms come in three styles, Standard, Essential and Classic.

-

Studios, on the other hand, are self-contained and feature personal en-suite bathrooms that come with showers. Kitchens are private and equipped with a cooker, a dishwasher, a freezer and a microwave/oven. Studios also offer everything else you would find in a single room, such as the big bed, the wardrobe and plenty of storage spaces.

-

Green Wood Court offers high-speed Wi-Fi, bike storage, and on-site laundry facilities. It also offers free parking on premises for your car. The property is CCTV-monitored and has an on-site maintenance team that’s there around the clock. Students can also relax with friends in front of the television in the contemporary common room and enjoy the warmth of the sun in the outdoor area.

-

Green Wood Court is perfectly located just a minute walk from restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. Enjoy the fresh air and the greenery at Daisy Dip, or compete against your friends in a game of golf at Stoneham Golf Club. Go to the live concerts of the most famous singers at The Brook, then go grab a bite at any of the restaurants near you. Get your burgers and barbeque at Nathan’s Famous, or try something more exotic; like Thai or Persian cuisines, at Thai Thai Express and Melo Persian Restaurant.

Cancellation Policy

Can I cancel my booking?

If you accept an offer of accommodation online or by signing a Tenancy Agreement, and then decide you wish to cancel outside of the Initial Cancellation Period, the following applies:

  • You remain liable for the weekly rent (for each and every week or part week) until you are able to find another tenant that is acceptable to Homes for Students (it is your responsibility to find another tenant) and we are able to re-let the room
  • If we are able to re-let the room we will release you from the agreement upon payment of a £250 release fee which we will recover by retaining your deposit (which will not, therefore, be returned). If you have paid a different amount as a deposit (such as £150) then this is the amount that will be retained.

1st Year Applicants Only

If you are a prospective student and your offer of a place at your preferred University/Higher Education Institution is withdrawn by the University/Higher Education Institution, you may be eligible to be released from this agreement.

To apply to be released from the agreement you will need to provide:

  • Written confirmation that you wish to cancel your reservation.
  • Supporting evidence from the University or UCAS.

Special conditions

You can terminate your tenancy agreement if you have an existing medical condition and this is recorded on your application prior to a room offer being made. We will require medical proof with your application and you will be liable for a minimum of 4 weeks’ rent or to the end of the current rent period, whichever is longer.

A good place to live! The staff is really kind and will promptly solve any issues (no serious issues). Flats are conveniently arranged and the kitchen is well equipped - above average for a student accommodation (the most modern I've seen so far). Bathroom (shower room) could be a bit more "polished" but having separate toilets and showers is nice. Location has its pros and cons: it's a nice area, very green and calm but somewhat out of the way (bus links are decent, though). 5 stars for the excellent price/quality ratio. Note: This is an honest, non rewarded review.

Excellent experience living here, the value for money is great. Kitchen and bedroom both well fitted, shower is good and wifi speed and coverage is excellent. Staff are brilliantly helpful and easy to talk to. Any issues upon moving in were dealt with by them. Our safety is important to them and COVID guidelines are followed. Living here has made the year far less stressful than it could have been!

Modern furnishings, free parking, friendly team and good location. Also, cheaper than any other halls and most houses. Also allows you to stay over the summer for the same price as for 2 semesters so great for postgrads.

Great location (if you prefer rural areas over urban ones), very affordable price, recently refurbished with reasonably decent furniture and very friendly staff always eager to help. The building itself is around 50 years old though, so you won't find any modern amenities here. I loved living here and it is an excellent place, but not for everyone.

Place services tend to fail quite often just as Heat System and Water. You can hear everything since walls appear to be thin. Fire alarm triggers two times a week because of failures or other students smoking in your building which is annoying because it happens at 3 am several times (this was the worst part). You really need to be lucky to get good flatmates since if the place is dirty, they would charge a fee to everybody even if it was only someone fault. Receptionists are really nice and helpful which is the only perk I would remark.
