Is an advance payment required for Valencia accommodation?
If required by the establishment, an advance payment of €500 is due. This amount is credited towards the total accommodation price but does not cover damages, which are invoiced separately.

When will my advance payment be refunded?
Where applicable, your advance payment will be refunded within 30 days following the end of your accommodation agreement, after any outstanding costs have been settled.

Does the advance payment cover damages?
No. The €500 advance payment does not cover damages. Any damages or additional costs are invoiced separately.

What happens if my outstanding costs exceed the advance payment?
If outstanding damages or other costs exceed the amount of your advance payment, you may be required to pay the remaining balance.

Can I cancel my Valencia accommodation if my visa is refused?
Yes. You may be eligible for a refund if your visa is refused, provided you submit the official refusal document within 7 days of being notified and before your accommodation start date. This applies to both EU and non-EU clients.

Can I cancel if I withdraw from university, fail academically, or am denied admission?
Yes. A refund may apply if you withdraw from university, fail academically, or are denied university admission. The relevant circumstance must be officially certified within 15 days of check-out.

Can I cancel due to a force-majeure event?
Certain force-majeure situations may qualify for cancellation and a refund, subject to the conditions set out in Clause 7.6.4 of the agreement.

How much of my advance payment will I get back if I cancel?
If you cancel on or before 15 June (inclusive), 100% of your advance or guarantee payment will be refunded. For cancellations after this date, the amount withheld depends on how far in advance you cancel:

• More than 30 days before arrival: 10% of the advance payment is withheld.

• 10–30 days before arrival: 50% of the advance payment is withheld.

• 10 days or fewer before arrival: 100% of the advance payment is withheld.

When will my cancellation be non-refundable?
Your advance payment may not be refunded if you voluntarily and unjustifiably withdraw before the end of the agreed accommodation period, are expelled for a serious breach of the rules, or fail to meet the required documentation requirements under Clause 3.d.

Will I have to pay compensation if I leave my accommodation early?
Yes. If you leave before the end of the agreed accommodation period or otherwise fail to complete your stay, you and/or the financially responsible party may be liable for compensation of up to three monthly instalments for lost revenue. This is separate from the advance payment provisions.
