When are accommodation payments due?

All invoices must be paid at least 4 weeks in advance. Students must ensure that funds are received by the due date.

Can arrival or departure dates be altered before moving in?

Yes. Schedule changes prior to arrival require a prompt written request. Penalties depend on when Student Housing Services receives the notice and how many times the booking has been modified.

Is there a fee to change booking dates?

The first date change is entirely free of charge, provided the written request is received at least 4 weeks before the original arrival date.

What happens if dates are changed multiple times or on short notice?

Additional fees apply under the following circumstances:

• Multiple changes: A $50 fee is applied to every date change after the first one.

• Short notice (less than 4 weeks): The penalty is equal to the first 4 weeks of the original booking fee.

How is a booking cancelled before arrival?

Cancellations must be submitted via written notice to Student Housing Services as early as possible. Applicable penalties are determined by the date this written notice is received.

What are the penalties for cancelling an accommodation booking?

Penalties depend directly on the amount of notice given:

• 4 weeks or more notice: Only the $250 placement fee is charged.

• Less than 4 weeks' notice: Both the $250 placement fee and 4 weeks of accommodation fees are charged.

What is the penalty if a cancellation is due to a visa denial?

If the cancellation is a direct result of a denied visa, the penalty is limited strictly to the $250 placement fee.
