About Rockingham House
The city of Sheffield is situated in South Yorkshire. It is home to England's third-largest population. Many new technologies were developed in the city, which had a significant impact on the industrial revolution.
Rockingham House is a student housing in Sheffield that offers different en-suite rooms. All rooms feature a ¾ bed, an en-suite bathroom, a study desk with a chair, shelves, a wardrobe, and storage space.
The building has a variety of facilities and services. They include Wi-Fi, CCTV, bike storage, and a laundry room.
The property is located in the heart of Sheffield, surrounded by many exciting and lively locations, including eatery spots, entertainment venues, and other places of interest. If you’re craving a mouth-watering pizza, Piccolo's is seven minutes away, and it serves Italian fare, including pasta and pizza, in a cosy atmosphere. Butlers Balti House is another nearby eatery offering Indian cuisine dishes in a modern setting. If you’d like to have some delicious Asian food, Tsuki restaurant is five minutes away, and it offers Japanese plates in a hip space.
If you need to do some grocery shopping, Tesco Express supermarket is just a short walk from the residence, and it has various products at reasonable prices to cater to your needs. After all the delicious cuisines you’ll be trying, we suggest you hit the gym and stay in shape at The Gym Group. It is nearby and is fully equipped with the latest athletic facilities. Over the weekend, you may enjoy a night out with your pals and watch the latest box office movies at the ODEON Luxe Sheffield movie theatre. You may also choose to go on a shopping spree at The Moor shopping centre, where you’ll find plenty of shops, stores, and boutiques. Another thing you can do during the weekend is visit the Kelham Island Museum, where you can explore the city’s industrial history through interesting exhibits.

Sheffield Hallam University is a 15-minute walk from the property, and The University of Sheffield is a one-minute walk away. Broad Lane/Beet Street bus station is a four-minute walk, and Mappin Street/Portobello Lane bus station is a five-minute walk. West Street tram stop is a five-minute walk, and Sheffield train station is a 17-minute walk.

Can I cancel my booking?
If you accept an offer of accommodation online or by signing a Tenancy Agreement, and then decide you wish to cancel outside of the Initial Cancellation Period, the following applies:
- You remain liable for the weekly rent (for each and every week or part week) until you are able to find another tenant that is acceptable to Homes for Students (it is your responsibility to find another tenant) and we are able to re-let the room
- If we are able to re-let the room we will release you from the agreement upon payment of a £250 release fee which we will recover by retaining your deposit (which will not, therefore, be returned). If you have paid a different amount as a deposit (such as £150) then this is the amount that will be retained.
1st Year Applicants Only
If you are a prospective student and your offer of a place at your preferred University/Higher Education Institution is withdrawn by the University/Higher Education Institution, you may be eligible to be released from this agreement.
To apply to be released from the agreement you will need to provide:
- Written confirmation that you wish to cancel your reservation.
- Supporting evidence from the University or UCAS.
You can terminate your tenancy agreement if you have an existing medical condition and this is recorded on your application prior to a room offer being made. We will require medical proof with your application and you will be liable for a minimum of 4 weeks’ rent or to the end of the current rent period, whichever is longer.
