Payment Options

• Pay in Full
• Two payments in August and December (no guarantor required)
• Three instalments due in September, January, and April (UK guarantor required)
• Monthly Direct Debit over 10 months (UK guarantor required)

Direct Debit Payments

The easiest way to pay your rent is by Direct Debit. This can be set up through your Sturents account, and payments will be collected automatically on the dates specified in your tenancy agreement.

International Payments

International payments can be made through Mangopay using your Sturents account. Please ensure your payment covers any transfer or bank charges to avoid any underpayment issues.

Student Finance Deferment

Mansion Student offers a Student Finance deferment service that allows your rent payment dates to align with the dates you receive your student loans. To apply for a deferment, you must provide evidence of your Student Finance payment schedule along with any required documentation.

Guarantor Requirements

No guarantor is required for one or two instalments. However, a UK guarantor is needed for three instalments or if you choose to pay via monthly Direct Debit.

Payment Methods

You can pay your rent via the following methods:

• Direct Debit through your Sturents account
• Mangopay for online and international payments
• Credit or debit card at reception after check-in

Deferment Application Process

To arrange a deferment, residents need to provide:

• A screenshot of your Student Finance payment schedule
• A screenshot of your Student Finance Entitlement Summary showing your name and total maintenance loan entitlement

Payment Collection Schedule Updates

Residents must update their rent collection schedule to reflect any approved payment dates following deferments. Until your deferment has been approved and accepted, you are required to adhere to the original payment dates specified in your tenancy agreement.

• Cancellation Notice: Notice to cancel your contract for your accommodation must be sent by e-mail.
• Cancellation Before Move-In: You may request to cancel your accommodation contract by e-mail. A fee of £75.00 will apply, which we may deduct from your security deposit.
• Finding a Replacement Tenant: You will be required to find a replacement tenant, reasonably acceptable to Mansion Student, to take over your accommodation contract.
• Responsibility for Rent: You remain responsible for all rent due as defined in your accommodation contract until a replacement tenant has been found for your accommodation.
• Cancellation After Move-In: You may request to cancel your accommodation contract by e-mail. A fee of £75.00 will apply, which we may deduct from your security deposit.
• Refund Process: Any security deposit refund or advance rent payment refunds due to you will be paid once the replacement tenant has completed all the required documentation.
• Assistance in Finding a Replacement Tenant: Mansion Student will assist in finding a replacement tenant, but this will only apply when all other rooms in the property are occupied.
• Loss of Student Status: In certain circumstances, should you lose your student status, you may provide 4 weeks’ notice to cancel your accommodation contract.
• Circumstances for Loss of Student Status: 
  • You have withdrawn from, been excluded from, or been refused admission to your institution of study;
  • You have been absent from your course for more than 60 days due to illness.
