How can I pay my rent?

Am I still responsible for rent if I move out early?
Yes. Once the tenancy agreement is signed, you remain legally responsible for paying the full rent even if you do not move in or leave early.
Cancellation Policy
Can I cancel my booking before signing the tenancy agreement?
Yes. You may request cancellation by email before signing the tenancy agreement. However, the £100 holding deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Is there a cooling-off period?
Yes. If you cancel within 14 days of paying the holding deposit, your booking may be cancelled during the cooling-off period, but the holding deposit will still not be refunded.
What happens if I cancel after 14 days?
If you cancel your approved booking after 14 days, you may still be liable for the full contractual amount.
What happens if I do not sign the tenancy documents on time?
If you do not return the required paperwork within the stated deadline, your application or booking may be automatically cancelled and your room may be offered to another student.
Can I cancel my tenancy after the contract starts?
Yes, but you will remain responsible for the tenancy until a suitable replacement tenant is found and approved.
Do I need to find a replacement tenant myself?
Yes. You are fully responsible for finding a suitable replacement student to take over your tenancy agreement.
What happens if I cannot find a replacement tenant?
If no replacement tenant is found, you will remain responsible for paying the full rent until the end of your tenancy agreement.
Will I have to pay any cancellation or replacement fees?
Possibly. If you have already moved into the accommodation, a £100 administration and cleaning fee may apply when replacing a tenant.
What is the “No Place No Pay” policy?
This policy applies to first-year undergraduate students only. You may be released from your agreement if:
you do not achieve the grades required by your chosen university, or
you choose another university after exceeding your expected grades.
What documents are required for the “No Place No Pay” policy?
You may need to provide:
a UCAS rejection confirmation or university rejection letter, or
proof of acceptance at another university through UCAS.
These documents must usually be submitted within 7 calendar days of results day.
Will I receive a refund under the “No Place No Pay” policy?
