Security Deposit Refund

The security deposit shall be refunded within fifteen (15) working days following the successful check-out date, provided that the Resident has:

• Completed the check-out process.
• Settled all outstanding dues.
• Completed the entire contractual period.
• Given one month prior written notice.
• Returned items in good condition, free from any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
• Incurred no penalties during the stay.

The security deposit may be paid in United States Dollars (USD); however, the refund will be issued exclusively in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED). No cash refunds or alternative modes of payment will be permitted.

Bank Transfer Charges

Any charges incurred during a bank transfer (inward and outward) must be covered by the student to ensure the full invoiced amount is received without deductions.

Pre-Check-in Cancellation Policy

• Residents may terminate this accommodation reservation within fourteen (14) days of the booking confirmation date.
• Cancellation must occur at least 24 hours before the check-in date.
• A penalty of AED 500 will be deducted as an administrative charge.
• Registration fees are non-refundable.
• Any amounts paid in advance, including the deposit, will be refunded after this deduction.

Cancellation Charges After 14 Days

• If residents cancel after 14 days from the booking confirmation date, or within 24 hours prior to the check-in date, cancellation charges will apply.
• Residents agree to pay the full amount for the total number of days or period stated in the accommodation contract.

Post Check-in Cancellation

• During the stay in the Property, cancellation charges will apply.
• Residents agree that full payment for the total number of days stated in the accommodation contract period shall be paid as cancellation charges.

No Show & Change of Contract Start Date

• If the student fails to occupy the accommodation on the confirmed start date, ESAW reserves the right to treat the reservation as active and charge rent accordingly from the start date in the booking confirmation.
• The student may request a one-time postponement of the start date provided that:
  • The request is submitted by email before the original start date.
  • The postponement does not exceed seven (7) days from the original start date.
• If the student fails to submit a postponement request prior to the original start date, rent shall be calculated from the original start date.
• If a postponement has been approved, but the student fails to occupy the accommodation on the revised start date, rent shall be charged from that revised date.

Cancellation After Postponement

• If the student does not occupy the accommodation within seven (7) days of the revised start date, the booking shall be considered cancelled, and no fees will be refunded.

The above cancellation policy is a synopsis of the property’s cancellation policy. There could be a few changes incorporated from time to time. Hence, we recommend you review the full Accommodation Contract for a comprehensive understanding of their cancellation policies.
