The Printworks is a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.casita.com/student-accommodation/uk/exeter" style="text-align: initial;" target="_blank">Exeter student accommodation</a>&nbsp;that offers different ensuites, studios, and shared apartments. All units feature a single bed, a wardrobe, a bedside table, central heating, a large study desk and chair, shelving, a kitchen, and an en-suite bathroom. <h3 dir="ltr" style="">Features</h3>The residence offers many facilities and services. The facilities include Wi-Fi, contents insurance, 24/7 on-site staff with assisted CCTV coverage, secure key fob access, and lifts. Other services include accessible rooms, a communal lounge, a study room, a games area, an events calendar, an outdoor courtyard, a fitness studio, laundry, and secure bike storage.Exter is a city in Devon, which is in the south-west of England. It is situated beside the River Exe. The Old English word "Escanceaster," which referred to the River Exe, is where the city gets its name. <h3 dir="ltr" style="">Places to Visit</h3><ul><li dir="ltr" style="">The Printworks is located just a five-minute ride from the centre of the city.&nbsp;</li><li dir="ltr" style="">Taco-Macho eatery is just a few minutes away from this Exeter student accommodation.</li><li dir="ltr" style="">On The Waterfront is a few minutes away from the property.</li><li dir="ltr" style="">Tesco Express supermarket is just around the corner.</li><li dir="ltr" style="">Bull Meadow Park is just a short stroll away from the building.&nbsp;</li><li dir="ltr" style="">ODEON Exeter movie theatre is a short ride away.&nbsp;</li><li dir="ltr" style="">Exeter Cathedral is a short ride away from the property.</li></ul> *The building is committed to supplying electricity to the room with consumption up to £300 regardless of the tenancy period/let. If the student exceeds this sum, they will be prone to paying extra charges.*The building offers flexible bookings in the case autumn 2020 term dates are pushed back due to COVID-19; you will be credited for the weeks not required from the start of your tenancy.*If you book a room and choose to pay by instalments, your second payment can be split into two; one on the original payment due date and the second within 7 days of your start date.*The building has a "No Visa No Pay" policy; if you can't get visa approval and no longer need your room, you can cancel for free.* If you are unable to travel to the UK due to Government travel restrictions, and no longer require the room, you won’t be charged.*If you don't get the grades needed for university and no longer require the room, you won't pay; provided you present a rejection letter.<h4 dir="ltr" style="">Revised Payment Plans</h4>To make booking your room for the new academic year even easier, we’ve reduced the initial rent payment due upon booking to £100. The remaining balance of the initial rent payment, which would normally be due upon booking, will now be added to the balance due upon your second payment date.

What are the payment options?For most room types and contract durations, we offer two payment options:Full contract payment: You pay for the full duration of the accommodation in one payment at thetime of booking. Some of our locations will offer you the option of splitting the payment bymaking an advanced rent payment on booking, this is usually £200 which is deducted from thetotal payment which is due on the 1st August.NB: If you book a room after the 1st August you will need to make the full payment at the time ofbooking.Instalment plan: The full value of the contract is broken down into several payments spreadthroughout the duration of your contract. You will need to make an advanced rent paymentwhen you book of £200 which is deducted from your second rent instalment.Please note: To be eligible for an instalment plan you will need a Guarantor.NB: If you book a room after the 1st August you will need to pay the advanced rent and firstinstalment payments at the time of booking – a full instalment breakdown is shown once youselect book now and start the booking process.Do I pay a deposit/booking fee?We don’t take a deposit or charge you a booking fee when you book with Host. We take aninitial rent payment; this is not a deposit it is a payment made on booking which forms part ofyour total rental amount.When do I pay my rent?If you select an instalment plan for the 2026/27 academic year on a 51/45/44/43 week contractyour rent is due on the following dates:Advanced rent: on booking1st instalment: 1st August 20262nd instalment: 28th September 20263rd instalment: 13th January 20274th instalment: 14th April 2027

Payment Terms

Before Signing the Tenancy Agreement<ul style=""><li dir="ltr">If written cancellation is received within 7 days of the application and before the booking confirmation email, the booking is cancelled at no charge, and the advance rent is fully refunded.</li><li dir="ltr">If the tenancy agreement is not completed within 7 days, the landlord may retain the advance rent if either party cancels the booking</li></ul>After Signing the Tenancy Agreement (Before Tenancy Start)<ul style=""><li dir="ltr">If cancellation is requested within 72 hours of the booking confirmation email, no fee applies, and the advance rent is fully refunded.</li><li dir="ltr">If cancellation occurs after 72 hours, the tenancy cannot be cancelled unless a replacement tenant is found.</li></ul>After the Tenancy Start Date<ul style=""><li dir="ltr">Cancellation is only accepted once a replacement tenant takes over the room.</li><li dir="ltr">The tenant remains liable for rent and charges until the new tenancy begins.</li><li dir="ltr">Once a replacement tenant signs and receives booking confirmation, any payments made (including advance rent) will be refunded minus rent owed up to the takeover date.</li></ul>Additional Conditions<ul style=""><li dir="ltr">If rent due before move-in is not paid, the landlord may cancel the tenancy and retain the advance rent.</li><li dir="ltr">If the landlord cancels the booking before move-in due to circumstances beyond their control, all payments will be refunded.</li><li dir="ltr">Bookings obtained using false or misleading information may be cancelled.</li></ul>The above cancellation policy is a synopsis of the property’s cancellation policy. Brilliant place to live, gym and washing machines on site, reception and security are all lovely and very helpful whenever a problem arises. Wish I had come to live here sooner. The WiFi is quick and easy to use, amenities including pool table and dartboard are great to have and lots of communal spaces to spend time with guests. Incredible value for money and you can tell that the staff genuinely care about the people living here.

The Printworks has been a fantastic and comfortable place to live. As a masters student I was initially worried going back into student halls, but the reception staff and maintenance here have been invaluable. Everyone here extremely kind, and I’ve made the best of the amenities here (study room, games room, gym!). If my degree were another year longer i’d stay here again. Absolutely worth the money. Special shoutout to Harriet, Yasmin, Caitlin and Cathy. Really lovely ladies who make living here comfortable.

Management and staff are friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Maintenance requests are handled efficiently, and security is reliable, making the accommodation feel safe and well-run at all times.

I’ve been living at Printworks for the past year, and it’s been a really solid place to live as a student. One of the biggest advantages is the on-site gym, which is well-equipped and extremely convenient—it saves both time and money and makes it easy to stay consistent with workouts.

Another great feature is the social area with the pool table. It’s a perfect space to relax, take a break from studying, and spend time with friends. It also helps create a friendly and social atmosphere within the accommodation. After living here for a year, I can confidently say that Printworks offers good facilities and a comfortable student living experience.
