Ipswich is a town in Suffolk set near a river, just 10 Kilometers away from River Orwell. Ipswich riverside is known for its cafes, galleries, and shops. The town shares a coastal lifestyle with various other coastal towns in Suffolk like Dunwich and Orford. It is also less than 2 hours away from London by train. As a university town, it offers a wide range of student flats and private or shared student rooms to choose from and close to your university.

Ipswich is home to many top universities and colleges. Here you will find the University of Suffolk, one of the top 130 universities in the UK. Suffolk New College is another educational institution in this town. It is located in central Ipswich, giving access to secondary and further education courses, such as vocational programmes, GCSEs, and apprenticeships, as well as some higher education and leisure learning courses. Other colleges include Easton & Otley College and Lowestoft College.

Living in Ipswich you will get to enjoy popular student activities like shopping, visiting historical attractions, and even sailing in a boat or a yacht. A day out in Ipswich is not complete without a good meal in one of the many restaurants around the marina. As a historical town, Ipswich has various attractions that you should visit while living there. Ipswich Museum is a historical museum that houses a collection of artefacts drawn from both the former counties of East Suffolk and West Suffolk. Another entertaining place to visit is the Christchurch Mansion, a historical building set in a beautiful park close to the museum. It currently houses magnificent art galleries with the best collections outside London. Ipswich has a lot of free things to do and free places to visit. Queens Park is one of the top places to visit on a budget. This park is a perfect destination for a picnic, a cycling adventure, or a quiet walk surrounded by nature.
