Botany Downs Secondary College (BDSC) is located in East Auckland and it was established in 2004. Botany Downs Secondary College is a large multicultural co-educational state school for Years 9 to 13 (ages 13 to 18 years) with almost 1900 students, 170 staff, and a decile rating of 9. The National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) ranked the college 46th in 2001. Many international students study at Botany Downs Secondary College and enjoy quality education.

A broad range of courses are offered to meet the needs of diverse students. BDSC offers courses like English, mathematics, science, health and physical education, accounting, business studies, dance, design and visual communication, digital technologies, drama, economics, physics, music, and many other subjects.
