Mima is a beautiful place that was once home to many horse breeders. The city lies on the second longest river in Shikoku, the Yoshino river. It relies heavily on agriculture in its trade. Besides, the city has Mount Tsurugi, the second highest mountain in Shikoku and in Western Japan. Despite being relatively small in size, the city has spacious landscapes. Mima is a peaceful place to stay in.
The city is served by three train stations along the Tokushima Line which are Anabuki Station, Oshima Station, and Sadamitsu Station.
Mima has the famous Mount Tsurugi mountain which is a must-visit place. This mountain is one of the 100 famous Japanese mountains. The Anabuki river is another landscape you should not ignore seeing. The river is known for its clear water. It has held its position as the cleanest river in Shikoku for eleven years. If you manage to attend the fishing competition in the town of Koyadaira, it will be worth your time. You should also visit Udatsu Street; this place is a small town for history lovers with its buildings and shops.
