About High Street

There are multiple restaurants, shops and cafes surrounding this student home. Subway is directly opposite the building, and The Fish Station is a 2-minute stroll away. West Quay shopping centre is also close by with a large variety of designer shops to browse.

This Southampton student residence has Wi-Fi, all-inclusive bills, free contents insurance, 24/7 CCTV, on-site management team, on-site maintenance team, private mailbox, bike storage, on-site laundry room, social events calendar and a communal lounge with a large TV. All studios come with a smart TV with licence, double bed, and a large wardrobe as well as a personal fridge, and a private en-suite bathroom. There is no reception in this property.

The property offers multiple paid facilities, including airport pickup service, cleaning service, car hire service, electric bike hire service, yoga classes, and storage services.

** Selected rooms accept dual occupancy for an additional charge of £20 per week.

Payment

-Three payment plans are available: 

Annual Plan: Full rent payment is made prior to student’s arrival. This plan includes a generous 2% discount over the total amount.

Termly payment plan: The rent is split into 3x instalments and spread across the year. The 1st instalment (40%) is due before student moves in. The 2nd instalment (40%) is due on the 1st January 2023. The  last instalment (20%) is due on the 16th April. We do Not require a UK rent guarantor with this plan.

Monthly Plan: The rent is payable on the 1st day of each month. We require a UK rent based guarantor to confirm this plan.


Cancellation Policy

-No Place, no Pay: if the student doesn’t get onto the course at the University where our building is located, we will cancel the booking and refund all payments made. This principle also applies to VISA:

-If an international student is unable to get to the UK in time for the start of their course (or doesn’t get their visa in time either), then we won’t ask them to pay for their studio with us.

I have not yet been to the High Street location, but I've been VERY impressed with how professional and comforting the communication has been. I am from Toronto Canada and I've been so nervous thinking about moving across the ocean and living somewhere totally different from what I am used to. I have been in contact with Ben and he has put me so much at ease. He is calming, answers so promptly and is so caring. He is making me less worried about the fact I will be leaving my country and staying somewhere totally unique. I want to give big thanks to Ben for helping me with this difficult transition, as well as making me feel like I will have a home away from home when staying at Unilife!!! I also want to give a quick thanks to Frank! Great at communicating too! The Unilife team is amazing! I am very excited to be staying at Unilife in the fall! I'm sure I will feel right at home:)

I chose to live in Unilife High Street for all the convenience it offered. The location was great. The all-inclusive bills meant I didn't have to worry about unexpected expenses. Most of all, I valued the security, knowing that I didn't have to worry much about break-ins and such. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Problems with the room (which were very rare) were dealt with very promptly and efficiently. Even though I knew I paid a slightly high price, for all the comfort and the pewce of mind, it was all worth it.

I am really pleased and grateful for finding Unilife. I did a lot of research before deciding to sign a contract with Unilife and until now I believe that was the wisest choice I could make. Comparing the price with other private rented halls, Unilife is the best value for money, at the greatest location of all, right in the city centre and closest to the National Oceanography Centre. The studios are quiet, perfect for students who want to focus on their studies. Last but not least, the Unilife personnel are always helpful, ready to answer any questions, or assist with anything needed. It's about all those little details that do matter. A truly Uni(que) life experience. Thank you!
