Scotland Street/Meadow Street bus station is a five-minute walk, and Moorfields/Allen Street bus station is a three-minute walk away. Cathedral tram stop is a nine-minute walk, and Sheffield train station is an 18-minute walk from the property.&nbsp;

Love this Accomodation. Super friendly staff, welcoming space and great facilities. I’m even Considering doing a PhD so I can stay here longer! Affordable rent and great value for your money. Property Manager - Simon is brilliant and always ready to help!!

Overall positive experience. Clean common areas, modern rooms and the property manager Cristian is very helpful and attentive.The only drawback for me (as a clean freak) was a bin room, but that was sorted recently and it doesn’t even smell now. Totally recommend.

Had a great time staying here. Comfy accommodation. Many places are within walking distances, only 10+ mins to High St/West St area. Staffs are very helpful and friendly too.

It’s my second year in Westbar House and in all fairness I can say that it’s a place worth recommending.

Starting from the most important - management staff is top notch and if they can help you they will do whatever they can to do so - it makes for a really nice atmosphere and takes a lot of stress regarding things even as simple as parcels from tenants.

Regarding the rooms - they are really well lit with pretty large windows which makes for a pleasant experience on a daily basis. Provided furniture is quite basic (I guess it is to be expected from student accomodation) but solid - I have not had anything break in almost year and a half of living here. It’s definitely all the basics needed to live here comfortably. Bed, wardrobe, desk with a chair and an armchair.  (I would recommend buying a soft underbed storage from IKEA or anywhere before arriving here, for me it was a great solution as it was this little extra bit of storage so that I can fit all of my clothes there). The kitchen is alright, I would probably be happier having a combi oven instead of a microwave but I guess it is what it is.
Toilet is as you might already expect also basic with a shower on smaller side but again tbh enough.
The rooms are spacious and thanks to Westbar using normal furniture instead of typical student housing “let’s just put everything around so they think it’s fancier “ the rooms have a lot more space to walk around and because of that even if rooms are of the same size the ones here just seem more airy. I would say that for anyone who appreciates privacy of studio it is the way to go.

There is a lot of student accomodation in Sheffield and marketing baseline for a lot of them are common spaces - it’s all nice and fancy looking on visualisations but when it comes to the actual use they very often end as a thing to show around to your mates and not really hang out in them on a daily basis - there is a lounge in Westbar and there is not much more to be said about it, it’s gonna get the job done if you gonna need it but it’s nothing amazing, there are also few outdoor spaces which hopefully are going to have benches and stuff after COVID will ease.

For the useful shared spaces - each floor has a small study room for 1 person if you need a bit more space than on your desk in the room and there is a gym on site with all essential equipment provided.

There is a 2 washers 2 dryers circuit laundry downstairs and while it might seem like not a lot with the accomodation so compact as Westbar I didn’t really think of it as a problem.

All in all it’s a really great place, maybe not as fancy looking as some bigger options but on the flip side the studio here is in a price of better en-suite in other places.
