Willumstad School of Business, the College of Education and Health Sciences (comprised of the Ruth S. The university’s main campus is the Garden City Campus, and it has centres in Manhattan, Hauppauge, and Poughkeepsie.

Adelphi University has a wide range of courses and degrees to offer its students. The university mainly provides students with undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in various fields, including Accounting, Digital Marketing, Art, Dance, Dentistry, Creative writing, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, Clinical Psychology, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Graphic Design, History, Music, Sociology, Nursing, Theatres, Sports Management, Nutrition, and Medicine to name just a few. Additionally, Adelphi University offers its students the necessary resources and specialized facilities to pursue their research projects. 

Facilities and Resources

Adelphi University is known for having a wide variety of resources and facilities that make life on campus easier, more enjoyable, and more beneficial for students on an academic, social, and professional level. Additionally, the university allows its students to participate in several clubs and organisations, as well as take part in volunteer and community service activities to reach out to other people and meet like-minded individuals and those from different backgrounds and cultures.

Clubs and Organisation

Student organisations at Adelphi University are generally run by students and sponsor a variety of fun, free, and discounted trips, concerts, talent shows, parties, open-mic nights, and cultural events. There are more than 90 diverse student organisations on campus that are available for students to join in order to have a more holistic and enriched learning experience.

Campus Recreation

The university aims to fulfil its objective of creating a fun and active campus atmosphere. Thus, the university has opened a Recreation and Sports Centre. Through sports, fitness, and a variety of activities, Adelphi University is dedicated to providing comprehensive recreational programs that are safe and enjoyable for students. Using fitness and sports facilities at the university is completely free of charge; these facilities include an atrium, an indoor track, a gymnasium, a tennis court, and turn fields among others. The on-campus sports clubs are numerous and include a fencing club, a Bollywood dance club, a soccer club, a basketball club, and a frisbee club.

Volunteering 

Adelphi earned the 2020 Carnegie Foundation Community Engagement Classification for exceptional commitment to community service because of the opportunities it offers students to change lives for the better. Students at Adelphi University can volunteer at the Panther Pantry to help those with food insecurity, or restore public green spaces with the Break A Difference program. They can also create a garden during the university's Alternative Break, help the elderly, assist the homeless, tutor children or donate their time to an animal shelter. 

Greek Life

Adelphi University is home to a growing number of Greek and social fellowship organisations. The university's Greek community is committed to a tradition of academic excellence, community service, leadership, diversity, and lifelong friendships. Students are encouraged to learn about each organization and participate in the recruitment processes, which are held during the fall and spring semesters. Being a part of one of those sororities or organisation allows students to socialise more and meet new people from diverse backgrounds. 

International Services Office

Adelphi’s International Services Office is dedicated to serving international students and scholars from around the world with immigration guidance and other regulatory and compliance needs. This office will also be every international student’s connection to signature cultural events on campus, such as Afternoon Tea, East Meets West, and Diwali, as well as a year-long calendar of events to celebrate your culture and meeting local and international students. 

Health and Counselling Services

The Health Services Centre is dedicated to serving students’ health needs on a daily basis. In addition to promoting health awareness, the centre also maintains a top-tier emergency response team which responds to any accidents or injuries involving any person on campus. The Health centre also aims to maintain primary and urgent healthcare, health clearances, routine women’s healthcare, emergency response, and wellness education. The Student Counseling Centre provides comprehensive, confidential, and completely free of charge mental health, preventative, and educational services to any student enrolled at Adelphi.

Career Guidance

Adelphi University provides its students with career guidance services throughout their time at the university. Career guidance advice mainly includes ways for students to write and improve their resumes, as well as recruitment opportunities, internship programs, and regularly held career development, resume writing, and interview skills courses and workshops. 

Performing Arts Centre

Adelphi University has a state-of-the-art performing arts centre that has been ranked among the top 25 centres in the US. The Adelphi University Performing Arts Centre is home to five state-of-the-art venues: a concert hall, a recital hall, the Olmsted Theatre, the dance theatre, and a black box theatre. This centre supports the artists at the university and regulary holds shows and events. 

Dining Services

Adelphi University makes sure its students have access to affordable and quality food. Thus, university students have access to several on-campus dining halls and facilities in various buildings across campus. There are also a number of diverse on-campus eateries for students to dine at. Additionally, students get access to different meal plans and catering services.

Adelphi University Student Accommodation

Adelphi University has several option for on-campus student accommodation. The University’s residential communities accommodate students from all over the country, and the world. There are around seven New York residence halls for students to choose from. All halls come with useful amenities and features that help make students’ lives easier, including access to free events at each hall, free Wi-Fi and cable TV, and free laundry among other things.

Nearby Universities

Adelphi University has a location that is surrounded by several other New York City universities and colleges. Of the numerous surrounding institutions, Fordham University is a 37-minute car ride away, and Columbia University is a 45-minute drive from campus.
