The University of Kent, previously known as the University of Kent at Canterbury,  is a public research university in Kent, England. On January 4, 1965, the University received its Royal Charter. With students of various nationalities and 41% of its academic and research personnel hailing from outside the United Kingdom, the University is international. It is part of the Santander Network, a group of European universities dedicated to promoting social and economic development.

In 2018, The Sunday Times Good University Guide placed Kent 25th in the UK. It is rated “Gold” by the Teaching Excellence Framework. 

Departments and Divisions

The University of Kent - Medway Campus offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Undergraduate courses include Business and Entrepreneurship BSc (Hons), Criminal Justice and Criminology BA (Hons), Cultural Studies and Media and Journalism BA (Hons)...etc. As for postgraduate courses, they include Accounting PhD, Business Analytics PhD, Healthcare Management MSc…etc. The university also offers research, foundation year, language option, year in industry, and year abroad courses are available on campus.

Other facilities include a student hub which has relaxing spots for students and a pool table. Specialist facilities include music studios, a flagship recording studio, a spatial audio studio, a Foley studio, an ensemble rehearsal space, practice rooms, and an Avid High Definition post-production studio. Also, the campus has a state-of-the-art newsroom at the Centre of Journalism, the Drill Hall Library, industry-standard laboratories, a training dispensary, and a mock hospital ward.
