Abertay University is one of two public universities in the city of Dundee, Scotland. It was founded in 1994, and it is one of five Scottish universities to achieve a ranking in the important new Teaching Excellence Framework. Courses have three study modes which are full-time, part-time, and CPD. In addition, many subject fields are available such as Access, Behavioural Sciences, Business, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computing, Computer Games, Ethical Hacking, English Pre-Sessional Courses, Food Science, Law, Nursing (Mental Health Nursing), Preparation, Sciences, Sports, Food and Consumer Science, Open Minds, Economics, and Marketing.
Preparation courses consist of five AHEAD, a Five-Week Pre-Sessional Programme, a Pre-Sessional English Programme, The Abertay College Transition programme, and the University Preparation programme. Preparation courses help students gain access to Abertay degree programmes or transition from college to university.
Undergraduate courses are available in Accounting and Finance BA (Hons), Accounting and Finance with Business Analytics BA (Hons), Accounting and Finance with Law BA (Hons), etc. The university also offers postgraduate taught courses, and you can also apply for a Postgraduate research degree.
Abertay University has a city-centre campus, and all of its buildings are within walking distance of each other. The university has over 20 sports clubs ranging from traditional sports like rugby and football to new sports such as skydiving and ultimate Frisbee.
