Parque Natural da Ria Formosa is a park that encloses 18,000 hectares of lagoons and marshland, salt pans, islets, and channels. Another place to visit is the Faro Jewish Heritage Centre. This is a unique century Jewish cemetery that was built in the 19th century. It has a tiny museum that includes items of the city's Jewish heritage. The island Ilha de Faro is one of the most wonderful places to go to. You can spend a beautiful sunny day beside the beach and the beautiful sheltered lagoon there.

The city is well connected by the EVA bus system. There are several bus stations that you can find in the city. Also, there’s a train station in the city. You can use trains to move between the cities. You can book your train from Rail Europe.
