Cancellation Policy
Once you sign an offer and acceptance agreement for the Strata Building in Wellington, you are legally bound under the Residential Tenancies Act and treated as a tenant.
You can cancel without penalty only in limited cases: if you don’t meet student requirements, can’t legally enter New Zealand, or are prevented from entering due to border closures or restrictions.
If your arrival is delayed because of flight issues, the lease start date may be changed, but penalties may still apply depending on the delay. Each case is assessed individually, and you should notify the property by email.
If you cancel because of false information, failure to pay or sign required documents, or simply changing your mind, you will likely face financial penalties, which may include losing part or all of your bond or advance rent.
Any approved refunds are processed within 14 days after the refund is finalised.
