Best hostel experience I’ve ever had! I was a bit worried at first when I saw the reviews but the only real complaint is about noise- Which I didn’t really have an issue with. I thought it was amazing to have a DJ in the garden/ bar space when I arrived Saturday night. I couldn’t hear it from my room. The staff was amazing, very helpful and kind. Everything was very clean. I loved the coffee shop/ restaurant right on site. Morning yoga, and I spent so much time poolside. I was expecting a “hostel” stay but felt more like I was on a humble resort. It was clean, safe, and really such a pleasant place to be. I can’t wait to come back!!

On my arrival, I was a bit disappointed with the pictures presented online and the room I got however, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. A special mention goes to Federica for going above and beyond to ensure my stay at Selina Miami hotel was one to remember. Although the hotel may not be a 5-star resort, The ambiance presented felt very homey, welcoming, and relaxing. The hotel is gated and it felt much like a community. There are multiple complexes, each with upstairs rooms, and downstairs with a living area much like a house. Exiting the complex, there is open space to picnic, stretch or dance, drink at the bar, or chow at the restaurant within the community. Out of all the hotels I stayed during my Miami trip, Selina is the only one I would return too. Thank you to the staff, and a special shout out to Federica!

I had a great experience at Selina Miami River. Lots of parking on arrival. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. I didn’t get his name but the very fashionable man at reception was super nice and kept my beers cold for me as the common kitchen was under renovations. (Thank you!!) I was on the third floor of a shared house, not a problem as I was travelling light but would be hard if I had more luggage. The grounds are beautiful and the room was large. Bed was very comfortable! The bar was closed so no noise complaints. The draw bridge nearby and a busy road so you do hear that noise but it was fine for sleeping. I would still suggest ear plugs. Overall a great 1 night stay! Thanks Selina!

The hotel grounds are beautiful, you feel like you’re in a tropical oasis. It’s like a gated resort in the middle of a city. We were in the 500 rooms (semi-private) which is off to the side and honestly a little ugly compared to the rest of the grounds. The room was very basic, but it was clean and what we needed. We chose the Micro room knowing we wouldn’t be in there often. The A/C was definitely not on enough because it was very hot at night. We just asked them to turn it up higher & it was fine after. Just sucks to not have control over the temp in your own room. The area is a little bit questionable when walking towards downtown, but I didn’t feel unsafe. It’s just a higher homeless population.

Good location and convenient to have restaurant, pool, and cafe on site. At check in they gave you a written paper saying quiet hours were from 11pm to 8am. Unfortunately this was not true. There was music playing every single day from 8am to 1am. It was impossible to sleep while the music was playing, so you had a very narrow window of 7 hours each day to get some rest. After three days of this I had a bit of a breakdown, and was so glad to be leaving. I would never recommend this as a place to stay, definitely not worth your sanity.
