The little Villa OLEFant in the heart of the Eifel National Park With Villa OLEFant you will be living in the historic town-center of Schleiden-Olef. In our lovingly furnished half-timbered house from the 16th century you will feel completely at ease. The building, which is under monument protection, was carefully renovated in 2004 and equipped with every comfort while still keeping its signature rustic character. The whole house breathes history. The unique atmosphere of the historic walls will take you on a journey through time. Located in the middle of the village, the building ensemble is a former farm. In addition to the main house with a view of the village square, the covered gateway and the adjacent garden area are available for your exclusive use. The accommodation Come in and relax! You will feel the special atmosphere of our “Knusperhäuschen” as soon as you enter. The entrance offers access to all rooms of the ground floor and forms the center of the house. Here you will find a cozy dining table for up to 6 people. Next door, in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen, up to four people can sit at the kitchen table and watch the hustle and bustle on the village square. As in the good old days, next to the kitchen there is the GUTE STUBE (the “good room”). Here you can spend cozy evenings and recharge for your next day full of adventure. In the modern bathroom on the ground floor you will find your own personal wellness oasis fully equipped with a large corner bath and a walk-in shower. Via the historic wooden staircase you can reach the upper floor with three comfortable bedrooms, each with double beds. All of these areas are at your disposal except for one small room, which we reserve as a utility room. In summer, life tends to mostly take place in the secluded garden and the yard. The wooden terrace behind the main house invites you to linger and unwind. Even when it rains, you can sit in a relaxed atmosphere under the historic gateway, protected at all times. Even on rainy days, the historic gateway allows you to sit outside, protected from the rain. In the outdoor area behind the barn you will find a small, farmers-style orchard during harvest time you can come and have a snack here... Neighbourhood is a top priority in the grown town center of Olef. Although we like to celebrate ourselves, we have to ask you to be considerate of the neighbours at all times and to avoid any noise. Our small villa OLEFant is located in the historic town-center of Schleiden-Olef. The house is one of numerous half-timbered houses on the market square. The track of the historic “Oleftalbahn” crosses the square and the little "train station" is only two minutes away from our villa. We are looking forward to it when the train is finally allowed to run again. Right in front of Villa OLEFant is the "Verrückte Stuhl” (“crazy chair”), an installation that attracts tourists with its optical illusion.
