How do I pay my rent?Rent is generally paid directly to the landlord using the bank account details provided in the rental agreement.For certain listings:<ul data-end="681" data-start="420"><li data-end="525" data-section-id="1b9ql3f" data-start="420">The first month's rent must be paid through the Wunderflats platform when the booking is confirmed.</li><li data-end="619" data-section-id="dsbyy8" data-start="526">The payment will be transferred to the landlord 48 hours after the contract start date.</li><li data-end="681" data-section-id="zhzu57" data-start="620">Pro rata payments are not available for these listings.</li></ul> When do I need to pay the first month's rent?Depending on the listing, the first month's rent must be paid either:<ul data-end="920" data-start="803"><li data-end="848" data-section-id="1co4v83" data-start="803">Directly to the landlord before move-in, or</li><li data-end="920" data-section-id="ji868u" data-start="849">Through the Wunderflats platform at the time of booking confirmation.</li></ul>The applicable payment method will be specified in the listing and rental agreement. When is the security deposit due?The security deposit must be paid directly to the landlord before moving into the apartment. What payments are required before move-in?Before moving in, you may be required to pay:<ul data-end="1936" data-start="1754"><li data-end="1888" data-section-id="uv6rxr" data-start="1754">The first month's all-inclusive rent (either directly to the landlord or through the Wunderflats platform, depending on the listing)</li><li data-end="1911" data-section-id="qvpct3" data-start="1889">The security deposit</li><li data-end="1936" data-section-id="1gymy1q" data-start="1912">The final cleaning fee</li></ul>The exact requirements will be stated in the rental agreement. What payments are required after move-in?From the second month onwards, you must pay the monthly all-inclusive rent directly to the landlord in accordance with the rental agreement. Does the Wunderflats Service Fee apply to all bookings?No. The Helfende Wände refugee housing platform is free of charge, and the Wunderflats Service Fee does not apply.

Both the tenant and landlord may cancel the booking process at any time before a binding booking has been completed.</section><section data-testid="conversation-turn-32" data-turn="assistant" data-turn-id="request-69ca600f-9618-8330-99a8-43844b98457e-0" data-turn-id-container="request-69ca600f-9618-8330-99a8-43844b98457e-0" dir="auto"> Can I cancel after the booking has been completed?Generally, no. Once a binding booking has been completed, early termination is not permitted.</section> Are there any exceptions that allow early termination?<section data-testid="conversation-turn-32" data-turn="assistant" data-turn-id="request-69ca600f-9618-8330-99a8-43844b98457e-0" data-turn-id-container="request-69ca600f-9618-8330-99a8-43844b98457e-0" dir="auto">Yes. Early termination may be possible in exceptional circumstances, including:<ul data-end="679" data-start="505"><li data-end="549" data-section-id="12n475j" data-start="505">You are not given access to the apartment.</li><li data-end="618" data-section-id="uvnitz" data-start="550">Access to the apartment is delayed beyond the agreed move-in date.</li><li data-end="679" data-section-id="1vq97gz" data-start="619">There is a serious health or safety risk in the apartment.</li></ul> What if my plans change after booking?You may discuss an early termination directly with your landlord.
