I’ve lived at the Venue for 2 years now and wouldn’t want to call any other place home! The cost of living is absolutely amazing given the location in Dinkytown. The management, maintenance, and front desk staff go above and beyond to make the Venue a welcoming and fun place for their residents.

I honestly regret signing another lease with these people. I do not see how it is okay for you to charge a whole months rent of $1,329 when i moved in on August 22 (when they could apparently have a place available). Then they want to charge me again on the 1st of the month! So i literally paid One months rent for one week! One week would be equivalent to around $315, not $1,329. No prorated price or anything of the sort. I am fuming and it does not seem right at all. Let’s not even talk about how people that do not live here sit at the indoor entrance of the building smoking and leaving their trash. You’d think with the amount you’d pay, they would offer top notch security and amenities.. But no. Whatever they can do to get their money. So disgusted right now

If I could give this apartment 0 stars I would. Absolute worst place to live in Dinkytown. The apartment was disgusting when I moved in. The floors were literally black. Multiple maintenance issues including not having running water. My refrigerator has been broken since I moved in and I have filed multiple work orders and they have still not fixed it. I had to go out and buy my own. The gym was shut down for 3 months, 1 of them was due to a government mandate which is very understandable but they just decided to extend the closing by 2 months because they were too lazy to clean it. The amount we pay each month is absolutely ridiculous for the amount of problems we have had and I would not tell my worst enemy to live here. The only good thing I have to say is that the office workers are great and the maintenance men are very friendly.

The Venue is amazing! The staff is super nice, maintenance is helpful, and it’s a nice apartment. Very updated and modern.

Here's what I'll say about the venue. People complaining on here are somewhat correct. Its definitely not like living in your suburban home where you get constant quiet. But management does try their best. You just have to remember most of the staff is college students who are learning things for the first time. So they are going to make a lot of mistakes along the way, and not be that professional. Rent is also reasonable for the area and amenities included. But you can find cheaper if you're okay living in not as nice apartment. The one thing I will say about the venue is that they always say it's your fault when submitting a maintenance request. Case and point, our A/C was broken the summer before COVID hit. I told them when re-signed that the A/C would have to be fixed in order for me to be okay with resigning. They said it shouldn't be a problem. I sent multiple emails and spoke with the admin at front desk multiple times before the summer even came. They just kept writing things down and sticky notes and saying they would get to it. And, surprise, surprise, when summer hit they started saying it was somehow our fault the A/C was broken, and how they were never notified. Our apartment was 90 degrees some days! During work from home. They started saying it was our fault because A/C was running at night even though it didn't get below 60 degrees at night. How is this possibly our fault! Eventually after enough badgering and threatening legal action, they brought in an A/C specialist (before they had been using the apartments maintenance man) and he said that whoever was trying to fix it before was only making it worse and that this A/C was completely shot. Finally they brought in a different A/C unit from another apartment. Overall I get the situation. The Venue isn't just going to fork over the money for a new A/C for every college student that complains.(There are tons of them!) But to automatically assume it was our fault. That's a little frustrating, and for the rent that we pay, I think we deserve a little more respect. Its worth noting I did live here for three years, one of them has been through COVID. So it's not like the worst. Thats why 3 stars.
