Payment & Cancellation

Payment Terms

Payment Terms

How can I pay my housing fees?

All fees must be paid to CLC Okanagan through the Manager. Accepted payment methods include certified cheque, bank draft, money order, debit, and other approved payment methods. Personal cheques are not accepted.

What happens if I do not keep my account up to date?

Failure to maintain a current financial account may result in withheld academic results and/or other academic sanctions.

Is there an application fee?

Yes. An Application Fee is required each time you submit a housing application. The fee amount is listed on the website, is payable at the time of application, and is non-refundable.

What housing fees am I required to pay?

You must pay the applicable Housing Fees for your room throughout the housing term. You may also be charged Additional Fees, such as extended-term fees, administrative fees, or other applicable charges.

What happens if I miss a payment?

Outstanding amounts may be referred to a third-party collection agency. Instead of charging interest, the Manager may apply a late payment fee.

Am I still responsible for fees if I leave early or lose access to my room?

Yes. Leaving the accommodation or having the room repossessed does not release you from paying all amounts due under the agreement for the full housing term.

What incidental fees could I be charged?

Incidental Fees may apply during your stay and can include lockout fees, replacement key charges, room change fees, orientation fees, maintenance charges, cleaning charges, repair costs, and replacement costs. These fees are charged separately from standard Housing Fees.

Can I be charged for damages, cleaning, or misconduct?

Yes. If you are found responsible, you may be charged for damage, cleaning, neglect, repairs, replacements, or other restitution costs. Additional fees may also be imposed as a behavioural sanction.

Can any fees be waived if I move out or my room is repossessed?

No. You remain liable for all amounts due under the agreement, regardless of whether you move out early or the room is repossessed by the Manager.
