Scholarship Opportunities for Egyptian Students in the UK
The Egyptian students who are interested in postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom can now apply for funding through the GREAT Scholarships 2025 programme. This initiative is a collaboration between the British Council, the GREAT Britain Campaign, and 72 UK universities. It offers scholarships to students from 15 countries and Egypt is among these countries.
The programme provides financial support to help cover tuition fees for eligible candidates.
Participating Universities and Scholarship Details:
University of Sheffield
The University of Sheffield is offering a £12,500 scholarship for one Egyptian student enrolling in a one-year taught postgraduate programme starting in autumn of2025.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must hold an Egyptian passport and reside in Egypt
Must have an offer for a full-time postgraduate course at the university.
Must meet academic and English language requirements.
The application deadline is 12 May 2025.
Buckinghamshire New University
Buckinghamshire New University is offering a £10,000 scholarship for an Egyptian student enrolling in a full-time postgraduate taught programme beginning in September 2025.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be an Egyptian national residing in Egypt.
Must hold an offer for a postgraduate programme at the university.
Must meet academic and English proficiency requirements.
The application deadline is 14 June 2025.
Additional Opportunities
Other UK universities participating in the GREAT Scholarships 2025 programme may also offer funding for Egyptian students.
