Campus Life & Style to manage two new PBSAs in San Diego

Campus Life & Style, one of the nation’s top PBSA (Purposefully-built student accommodations) operators, has been given the management of StateSide and Monte, both under construction by developers Next Space Development. These two buildings are expected to provide over 315 beds. StateSide and Monte are located on Montezuma Road, just a two-minute walk from the nearest campus, which is great for those attending the nearby San Diego State University, also known as SDSU. It is also close to the already existing SDSU residence halls.

These two buildings offer a variety of room types, with Monte offering shared apartments consisting of three and four bedrooms. Fortunately, for those looking to share a room, some of the rooms will provide dual occupancy as an option. The building will offer excellent facilities, amenities, and services, including a large rooftop terrace, study areas, courtyards, and large shared kitchens. In addition, the courtyard will feature a fireplace and a waterfall, giving the property amazing views.

Similarly, StateSide will also feature shared apartments starting with two-bedroom apartments; other apartments the property offers include three and four bedrooms and allow dual occupancy for some rooms. Some of the facilities provided at the property will consist of study areas, outdoor spaces, and multiple lounges. Other services and amenities include printing services, a 24/7 management team, a community kitchen, parking, and more.

Both projects are expected to be completed soon, with StateSide opening this August and Monte opening by August 2024. Stateside is now live for bookings starting from August onwards.

Campus Life & Style, also known as CLS, being awarded these two buildings is another significant win for this well-established company. Currently, the company manages an exact number of 29,772 beds and is operational in 16 states through its extensive network of 60 buildings. CLS. Part of CLS’s success is being the only PBSA provider to participate in the Fobes Travel Guide’s training program, which trains five-star establishments; this gives CLS a unique edge and excellent service.

According to Next Space Development’s Co-Founder, Rudy Medina, teaming up with CLS early on in the project has allowed them to develop two of their most dynamic projects in San Diego, and according to Jim Sholders, CEO of CLS, these two buildings will be luxury buildings and fulfil the company’s vision; additionally, it is a fantastic opportunity for the company to increase its network and attract more deals down the line.
