Departments and Divisions

The university includes eleven senior colleges, six community colleges, a graduate school, a law school, the School of Professional Studies, and the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. All of these institutions are part of the university. At campuses throughout New York City, nearly 220,000 degree-credit students and over 200,000 adults, continuing and professional education students, are enrolled. In the fall of 2004, CUNY was home to 46% of all college students in the City of New York. College Now, the University's enrichment programme for high school students at CUNY campuses and more than 200 New York City high schools, enrol an additional 40,500 students. Approximately 8,000 students attend CUNY-affiliated high schools.

For degree-seeking students, CUNY offers over 1,750 top-tier academic programmes. Undergraduate programmes will either lead to an associate's or a bachelor's degree. An associate's degree typically requires 60 college credits, whereas a bachelor's degree requires 120 college credits.

Facilities at ASRC

The CUNY Advanced Science Research Center provides sophisticated equipment and staff support to researchers at the ASRC and across CUNY. External collaborators will also be able to access these resources for a fee. The computational resources required by CUNY faculty, students, researchers, and collaborators are provided by the CUNY High-Performance Computing Center.

QCC Advanced Manufacturing Lab

The Advanced Manufacturing Lab combines additive and subtractive manufacturing technologies to provide students and faculty with comprehensive fabrication and training capabilities.

City University of New York Student Housing
